I was really concerned that Jade's trip to the vet today was going to set her back with her skiddishness but here she is sound asleep on my lap. I think today was the ultimate test. I guess she had joined the family.20220713_203534.thumb.jpg.752d06c7b6a877019cc5eb409e85135d.jpg

She looks completely at home.

Many people at my wife’s job are scared to see my lovely wife because of her HR position and is there for most terminations, she told one of her direct reports that they needed to talk , she was terrified and was positive she was terminated, instead my wife was informing her she was getting a very large raise.

She is definitely part of the family.   She looks very content.  Is she a purrer?

I got behind again.
My thoughts are with all of you even when I can’t get on CC.

I spent Monday afternoon prepping for my colonoscopy.
I spent all of Monday night hobbling as fast as I could to the bathroom. All night.
Had to take my meds at 6am because 3 hours prior to check in.
Dick brought 2 books to the hospital and settled in. He said he felt like he barely sat down when they told him I was done.
Colonoscopy at 10, at 10:40 I was getting ready to go home and SLEEP.
I got an A, and can wait 3 years for the next one unless my CT scans start showing something.
Note to self:

Ignore the instructions. Do not wait till 3pm for the Dulcolax and 5pm for the Miralax and Gatorade.
Next time it’s a noon start.

Pleased you got the all clear.  DH is currently on the pre-colonoscopy restricted diet atm and he is so grumpy.

That is not a pleasant procedure but totally necessary and not as bad as it was 20 years ago. Too bad all cancers have a preventable procedure.

She is going to be daddy's little girl. I'm so happy for you. Nothing like a warm little animal sleeping in your lap. I used to never take naps. Now I do one every afternoon so both Lizzy and Charlie can lay on me. Today Lizzy put her head right underneath my chin. Heaven.

Dani, I hope you’re well and your DH has been feeding you all your favorites.

Thank you, Mimi. My recovery is somewhat "crab-like"... two steps in the "right" direction, one "sideways".... I'm "hanging in there", with the help of gnocchi prepared for lunch 😉

We are having a hot spell in UK at the moment.  My DS and family are moving house from London to Berkshire on Monday when it's forecasted to be the hottest day ever at 35c, 95f

Way too hot to be packing , unpacking and arranging furniture etc

Our grandkids have been on a hunt for shark’s teeth every morning as we walk the beach

The biggest one they found so far

and a bunch of little ones.

We bought them some little jars to keep them in.

We walked down to take a ride on the sky wheel.

Some nice views from up there.

We went there right after lunch. We tried Soho, which was probably the best meal since we have been here.  It is a Japanese place. I just had a hibachi chicken box.

It also came with a larger than usual salad.

For our evening, we took an Uber to North Myrtle Beach to Barefoot Landing, and went to Lulu’s for supper.

Setting a good example, I ordered a Hurricane

and a hot brownie with ice cream for my supper.

A couple of the grandkids wanted to do this, so why not?

It didn’t take our granddaughter long to start doing the flips.  I think if we took her on a ship with a sky pad, we would have trouble getting her away from it.

I hope everything goes well Sue.

Those temperatures might even be hotter on Monday and beat our previous record temperature.

It is cloudy and 70°F here in Tyne/Wear.

Graham.
