Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" ​ 😁 ​day in lockdown... how was yours?)

We are on a 7 day western on Adventure, who recently started sailings of FLL, 

This Captain seems to like the ship port calls to have ship time the same as port time,

Night 1, clocks drop 1 hour, since no DST in the ports, second night another to get to CST, for Roatan and Belize.  tonight , add one hour for EST in  Cozumel, then  a sea day to get back to EDT, for or final call at Coco Cay, for seventh day,

I guess I am the official bad dad.  I was waiting till later in the day to wish my son and daughter-in-law a happy 14th anniversary.  Then I remembered it was yesterday.  
 

Oh well, neither of them remembered either.  I guess that can happen when you have a couple wedding dates to choose from.  But that is another story how that came to be.

Based on a sample size of 1 (well, 2 now), doesn't that happen to every couple, even without a complicating factor?

If not, I will plead we've forgotten ours because its too close to Christmas (Dec 20)

I think you would have liked my daughter’s tiki mask collection.  They used to have a room decorated with about 20 of them that they picked up on their travels.  They went a different way of decorating this year and put all of them out for bulk trash pickup.  Someone was very lucky, and grabbed them as soon as they made it to the curb.  I know they spent a couple thousand for those, so I don’t know why she didn’t sell them.  

 

 

Thank you Mark. Your daughter’s Tiki masks sound awesome. Someone has a very nice home Tiki bar. Wish I would have scored those. Those can get very expensive just like the tiki mugs I got.

Unbelievably, tomorrow will be one year since my daughter lost her husband.  We are going to Mass at 9:00 and then we will take them out for breakfast.  Hopefully, things will get better for the three of them.

Wow, it doesn't seem that long ago. However,  it can take far more than a year for things to normalize. How do they seem to be doing? Any thoughts about another family cruise?

They have mostly good days but every now and then something triggers them.  Her 12 year old son is still having some sad days, his dad was his best friend he tells everyone.  Thanks for asking.
