Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

Did I read somewhere on this thread that someone may need a driver to drive a car?

Well, you do not want me to drive.

I MAKE an excellent co-pilot and could probably drive you nuts by the time we get to the destination.

I do not know how to read maps.

I do know how to read WAZE.

I would be able to help you stop and rest, as we get older that darn bladder control isn't the best. Especially so, because that darn water pill really works after I take it.

We probably could go as much as 50 miles and then we can make a pit stop.

Oh, and coffee, gotta have coffee if at the rest stop they don't have the kind we like we can stop at the next one.

I actually have a watch that when the buttons are pushed correctly says "are we there yet"

If you need a break from driving, its ok, we can stop and sight see.

And when driving, gotta watch the speed limit, best to stay at least 10-15 MPH below as to be safe.

I'll bring my 8 trak player and we can listen to Neil Diamond or Barry Manilow.

Let me know when you need me.

We have been in 70’s for last couple of weeks but currently 21 and high will be just 40. Fireplace is going 😁

It is so freakin' cold here I am in my comfy robe and not going out at all!!

@Lionesss Sue, I love Neil Diamond and Manilow but I doubt many share our music taste.  I fear you have a long wait for an affirmative response to your offer.  🙄

BTW when we drove to and from NJ, I did NOT take my water pill until we reached our hotel for the night.

After 3 days and more than 15 pages of reading on my Android (my eyes are killing me!) I am finally caught up!

It looked and sounds like it was a wonderful, safe, and happy New Year all around!

Jim and I got to the Condo on the 30th after a not so fun filled drive, but alas, we arrived safely and are happy to be here!

I'd like to wish Andrew and mets07' DH a belated Birthday wish, as well as Arzeena's daughter.  Andrew, your birthday video is so very awesome!!!🎂🎉

Mark, enjoy your cruise!

Debbie, John, and Marietta, you'll all be on your cruises before you know it!  ( I just got an email from Celebrity asking for my vaccine info).

Crystal, I'm hoping the fires are finally extinguished.  Thank God you and Nate are South of the fires.

John and Laura, Congratulations on the sale of your Condo

Mimi, I hope you are feeling much better since your fall

HUGS Dani and HBE4.  I am so sorry.

Greg, your little Lizzie and Charlie are priceless.  The videos are great!

Deb. Your plans for your Florida sound great!  (I lived one block over from E Las Olas and one block up from A1A back in the late 60's.

Brutal cold here in Kansas City. This morning I was concerned with the snow on the ground and the puppies being on it to go do their business. They were good for about 2 minutes and then I could tell they were getting uncomfortable. I gathered Lizzy up and she was shaking. I covered her in my coat. Linda went to get Charlie and he started to cry because his feet were cold. We got them inside quickly and wrapped their feet in towels and rubbed them to warm them up. They are fine but just a reminder that your pets feet are sensitive and when it’s cold do not let them be out very long.

Good thing the Chiefs are on the road today in Cincy, it would have been brutal for the fans and players.

Should  be an interesting game tonight in Green Bay at 8:30pm tonight though, Temperature's in the single digits the entire game (Packers, Vikes) Yikes !!

Was 65 degrees last night here in Virginia, but chance of some snow tomorrow morning.........Crazy weather all over the country for sure.

Before driving to Miami, we took one last look around. Drove up to Lauderdale by the sea, and the big Christmas tree is still up.

I did see a shirt in the window that would work for @A&L_Ont

The waves are a little bigger today.

Our drive to Miami was uneventful, and we are now in the terminal waiting to board.  It was a pretty quick process, and we only had to show our negative test to get in the terminal, then give them our cabin number and show the passports.  They didn’t even question my 4 bottles of wine and 12 pack of Pepsi.  (2 bottles for next week).

I did find a hilarious t-shirt with pictures of Trump, Obama, Clinton, and Biden, but some may find it offensive if I posted it.  Susan would not let me buy it. 🥲

Got home from Owen’s first hockey practice of the New Year a little while ago. For those that lived in the north this should look familiar.

If you can’t read that, let’s try the other side.

We just finished yesterday’s puzzle of post cards from warmer places. We need these places in our lives about now.

Please don't ever apologize for opening your heart to us.  We share both joys and sorrows in here.  Think of this thread as a giant shoulder to lean on with two giant arms to hug.  We're here and not going away.

Your daughter sounds loving and compassionate.  You and your wife did good raising her!

Oh my!  My very first real date was with Mark, who rang my bell, met my parents and took me to the movies to see the original "West Side Story",  It was shown in a movie theater in Manhattan on 14th Street on the same block as the Academy of Music theater, close to Klein's Dept. Store.  After the movie, we went for ice cream sodas on 1st Avenue and after that, I got my first real kiss at my door. Let me be perfectly clear; my first REAL kiss. We had one more date after that and our romance fizzled out. For some weird reason, I wasn't devastated.  I do however think of that date with extreme fondness. Thanks for bringing it all back to me.

I assume that we all remember our first real romantic dates.Mine was at Radio City Music Hall .I was 19,she was 17.

Sharon asked Alexa to start playing music then walked in and had me get up to start dancing with her.  That’s how she wants to get ready for the cruise.  I almost made it through a whole song! I need to get back to exercising.  I like Boleros so maybe I need to say Alexa, play Latin music.  😂 She won’t dance with me on that floor.

Reminds me of the commercial. “Alexa play our favorite song.”

I didn’t plan on doing a live review for these next two weeks.  Too many crazies on the main boards that may derail it. I may just post a few photos here if Dani doesn’t mind.

I do see someone is doing a live review the first week.

We had all our stuff put away in the cabin by 3:00.

I do have some extra chairs and loungers on the balcony, if anyone wants to join us.

The hat is perfect for Pauline!

Y’all must turn heads everywhere you go.
And is that pea soup? It all looks so good!
You certainly know how to enjoy life!
