Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

Today for Easter dinner we enjoyed tossed salad with Italian dressing, baked potato butter sour cream, home made cheese sauce over fresh cauliflower, eye of round with mushroom gravy.
Leftovers will make another meal, frozen for the future.

My assignment for the day was to create a dolphin theme fruit bowl carving for our granddaughter’s 7th birthday, and Easter.

So not wanting to fail at this, I measured the circumference of the watermelon, and drew a wave template in AutoCad.  Ok, so far, so good.  The raw materials were gathered and the template placed.

After tracing the template, it was time to cut the top off, and scoop out the melon.   Susan gave me her “are you crazy” look, when I brought the electric drill and a hole saw to the kitchen to work on it.

Anyhow, this was the semi-finished product with a couple dolphins.

Of course, by the time we got it to daughter’s house, my dolphins were starting to brown.

It was a great party, but I found that these dolphins are much easier.

I'm 35% into "The Match" and disappointed. I've read every one of his books.  I will be interested to know how you feel about it.

I finished the book today.  I always preferred his Myron and Win characters better than Wilde.  I thought it was okay, and the pace picked up as the storyline developed.

There were a couple things that time wise did not make sense, but it is still good escapism.

I just copied a book and author list from another site, and I will have to research some of them, since I am running out of authors.

AWESOME job on the watermelon!  Even though it sounds crazy, Hole saw with template was a great idea!

The banana dolphins are perfect too😃

You may just have created a new job for yourself for future parties

We are home from a wonderful Easter dinner with my Brother and his family at Seasons 52.

Tried a new drink that was delicious.   A peach reisling mule with orange blossom vodka and ginger beer.  I have to look up the recipe.

We had dinner there in Denver area definitely a nice place. In Dallas we normally just have dinner at someplace that has live music.

I hoping he brings Myron and Win back in a future book, I read all of those. Currently reading a book by Don Felder who was a member of the eagles , book is “Heaven and hell, my life with the Eagles “ he signed the book for us on one of our music charter cruises.

I agree that it did pick up after a while, but the Myron books still are my favorite.  However, I did not like "Win".  I loved all of the other Coben books.

I've got the new Baldacci book "Dream Town" on hold at the library, to be published tomorrow.

If you want to reply, articulate. 🤣

Can’t dislike Win too much since you just quoted him . Baldacci is definitely my favorite author, have enjoyed all his books , normally wait for his books to get to paperback.

Exciting day for Australian cruisers, with the first cruise ship arriving in Sydney after a 2 year cruise ship ban. No passengers, crew only but the ship cruising into the harbour was met with several fire boats and tv helicopters flying overhead. Lots of people lined at the Opera House to watch it cruise past and dock at Circular Quay. Absolutely glorious day for it too.30660EF9-AD65-43F7-A87C-24B8D8D4E011.thumb.jpeg.a6f415400228ebb7acd3a6507835c43c.jpeg

We were on the ferry to Watsons Bay.  Timed it to see the ship come into the harbour and to beat the huge queues for the ferries this weekend, due to gorgeous weather and free public transport currently on offer until the 25th. Just gorgeous on the harbour today.
