Unfortunately where he lives most things are closed. He does walk his dog a lot. As for watching the news, he stopped that long ago but gets daily reports from work. He can't avoid that because he is working as much as possible for fear of losing his job. He works in the cruise industry.

Now they're saying the Dakota's and Montana are doomed. It's gotten ridiculous. Edited September 13, 2020 by bouhunter 1

Florida has reduced the Total number of ICU beds from 5500 at the peak to just over 4500. Available ICU beds Statewide is 25%, which is pretty close to normal. Florida deaths from COVID19 are 1/3 the deaths in NY. Most directional lanes at grocery stores have been eliminated. Movie theaters are open. We have been eating out indoors since June. Yep. We were doomed. 😇 M8 1

M8 Unfortunately Ny and Nj that were hit the hardest in march and april just like italy had high death rates. Most deaths due to mishandling of nursing homes but also techniques and treatments were still being figured out early on. So Fl Ca Tx etc are all fortunate that even with high spikes there is a better understanding on how to handle the virus then those horrible weeks in nyc and italy. Look at Spain now they have their problems too but death rate nowhere near the numbers italy had. Also big difference now is the younger adults etc are getting it and most do not need the icu care.

M8 Unfortunately the major hospitals in nyc were so overwhelmed they figured the residents of the nursing homes could get the proper care there but that didnt happen. NYC wasnt the only place doing that. Last I heard Nursing homes are still shut down from visitors in pa and nj. Very sad for them and their families.
