I can't even wear my Fit Bit, I get hives. I wore a Wow band for an hour and started to itch crazy, so don't want to even try these. I will bring a lanyard to hang it from or something like that. I just think they will likely be looking for people having them on, so I think it will need to be visible. I think the lanyard would be the best choice. I would protect you from the metal and yet be visible. If you pinned it to clothing you might accidentally come in contact with it I've had severe hives. Miserable.

According to the map we’re sailing quite near where Voyager, Radiance, Spectrum and Solstice are parked, but I’m on the wrong side of the ship and they might be too far anyway. Wonder if Royal can use them as port stops for future cruises? That's what they did with the shakedown cruise, not sure about yours. Quantum was stopped for around one or two hours if I remember correctly.
P_and_L Posted December 2, 2020 #103 Share Posted December 2, 2020 Are the shows any different than what they would have normally had on a Quantum Singapore Sailing? We've been looking at a 2021 Symphony sailing but Hairspray/Flight 1977 are things that we'd rather wait for, if they're not going to have those types of performances for a bit. masteradept Posted December 2, 2020 Author #104 Share Posted December 2, 2020 Took a walk round the Esplanade and the casino. The casino is running half capacity and each table has less seats, but I don’t see anything else too out of the ordinary, though I don’t usually visit the casino so I wouldn’t know. Might go for this performance tonight at the music hall, I do enjoy this sort of music (I’m a saxophonist myself) and we haven’t had it in Singapore since March.

Ah that explains the immigration I guess, if it’s required for international waters. We actually went the other way though! Out East past Tekong and into the South China Sea. On World Dream last week we did go into the Straits of Malacca. I noticed that Quantum is still sailing fast, while World Dream stopped once she got into the strait. Wish this cruise was longer too, but we booked it because it was the first! We’ve got two more trips lined up which are 3N and 4N though, so lots of time to enjoy (this is what happens when you can’t fly anywhere and the country is so small domestic travel is limited to Jurong to Punggol and back). Yes, it's so funny that we "cross the whole country" everyday when commuting for work. The other option we have is to just sit in a grounded plane in Changi and eat airline food, which really doesn't do it for us ! 🙂 When will you be sailing again? We're booked on the 7th Jan. Btw, thanks for the casino shots. Did you have trouble booking the shows, or are you just going to wing it and queue? Shipshow Posted December 2, 2020 #109 Share Posted December 2, 2020 Excellent details. Another degenerate question on the casino, what games are available? Do they have craps? Is alcohol free at the casino or do you need the alcohol package?

masteradept Posted December 2, 2020 Author #111 Share Posted December 2, 2020 Heading for lunch at Chops Grille after a brief snack at Cafe Promenade Alternate sinks and toilets are blocked for social distancing. At the cafes they have a little note to let you know if the table has already been sanitized after the last group left. La Patisserie

I'm cruising in mid-feb and will be staying in grand-loft. Will love to find out about the star class privilege. It's my first time on Royal Caribbean 😅 Meanwhile thanks for sharing your experience!! yuhaocooper Posted December 2, 2020 #117 Share Posted December 2, 2020 Great to hear that the boarding is super smooth and quick! Definitely makes the cruising experience way better. Btw, are the bars and restaurants strict with the last service of alcohol at 10pm? and were the speciality restaurants open in the afternoon too? Our check in time was 2:30 and they seemed to be enforcing this, because they had a separate queue for the 3pm slot and were holding them till we were done. No priority for suite guests or C&A except for Star suites and Pinnacles sadly, but aside from baggage drop off there were no lines anywhere so it wasn’t even a big deal. To briefly recap the process: Thanks for the info. No priority check in for suites is kind of a bummer. Glad it wasn't an issue
masteradept Posted December 2, 2020 Author #121 Share Posted December 2, 2020 Sorry for the long break! Ran into a friend onboard by chance and took some time to catch the ship together. We last left off at Chops Grille, which was great as usual. We then took a walk around the outside of the ship and said hi to Felicia. I did want to enter the Seaplex but they’d hit maximum capacity and were enforcing it quite strictly. They had badminton set up, by the looks of it, with the bumper cars later this evening. The suite sun deck was totally deserted. Hi Felicia! At the Solarium now for a swim, yet to decide where to go for dinner so stay tuned for that!

Was good!
