My attempt at craftiness, to get my FCC back in cash, will not outsmart the people who put together RC sales.😉😂

I didn’t even see the wording on the letter from this last round of cancellations that gave people the option of getting cash back for FCC’s that were applied and issued as a result of Royal cancelling the cruise.

You wont get any cash refunds. They dont issue refunds in cash. Make sure you have a bank account for them to transfer you funds

I don't think A&L had any expectation of cash or a check coming in the mail. We all know refunds are refunded to the credit card that was used to make payment. The goal of a refund is to get funds from an account owned by RCI into an account owned by the customer as opposed to an FCC where RCI keeps the funds.

My attempt at craftiness to get the FCC's extended into 2023 if needed isn't working so well either😇

Bean counters don't like returming money. And if they can increase their chances of not having to provide any service for the money that they didn't return it is icing in the cake.😇

In the fcc loop?  Book, cancel, fcc, book, cancel, fcc......When does it end?  I am caught in the loop like many people. I have fcc . Use it or lose it.  Keep rebooking to use fcc.  The same fcc keeps getting posted to possible sailings. With nothing sailing, the loop keeps going. It keeps adding more people using fcc.  It’s crazy.

Also, if they don't extend the expiration date way out it is going to create issues for people where they may end up booking cruises they don't even want to take just to not loose their funds. You're right... it's crazy.

I am actually having more issues with my airline credits being used than my cruise FCCs.  All of the air reservations that I made when we still lived in VA are now coming back to haunt me.  We don't need to fly away to cruise anymore (not that we're cruising, of course....) so I'm having to "find" fly-away cruises just to use up my airline credits before they expire.  We just booked a Vision cruise out of San Juan (October) and now with yesterday's [cruise] cancellations, a trip that we booked to Galveston on Liberty (just to use airline credits) has yielded another new/old credit.  UGH.

Yes, I had not even thought if that as I held off booking any flights as there was too much uncertainty as to whether or not my booked cruises would go off and I did not want any vouchers with one year expiration dates. And they typically expire one year from the original booking date.

Smart of you.  My compulsion for completing tasks got me on this one.  Oh well...living in FL will pay off eventually !  I have an upcoming Australia/NZ/TP coming up next spring...if I can just get my credits extended until then I will be able to use them ALL up !

Great itineraries for Grandeur out of Barbados Dec 2021 to April 2022 are now available to book.  Decent pricing

I tried to look at them but couldn't find Barbados as a port to leave from. Do you have to sign in or how do you see them? I got a email addressed to my sister which takes me to her rcl #. Grrrr.

Couldnt get to them as myself

They are hopping all over the place on the website.  Not sure what's going on.  I checked once and the 14 night on 2-20 wasn't there.  Then I checked again and the 14 night was back but the 7 night option with 11 different dates was missing.

I booked the 14 night in a 2 BR GS (aft).  I thought the pricing was exceptionally good.  They offered a casino discount, a resident discount and gave us the full balcony discount (sometimes they pro-rate that one).

FYI, I was able to successfully apply our FCC to our Alaska reservations for July 2022! These were from CWC cancellations.

A few weeks ago I was able to get the "excess" (from an RCI cancelled May 2020 cruise) FCC from my April 2022 to my July 2022.

Correct.  You have to wait until they are issued.  If you are booking a cruise they can hold it for you with no money down until the FCC’s are issued. If you have a final payment coming up they can extend the final payment date.

I just did that for the FCC I am supposed to get back for an Empress cruise that was cancelled.  They are extending the deposit date into Feb. for my new booking of a Dec. sailing.
