I was fast asleep and missed the sunrise today - It was lovely to be in a comfy bed for a change and has made me realise how much we need to change the mattress in the spare room.

Today's sunrise is from a 2017 land interlude between Crystal Serenity and MS Zaandam.  With the time between cruises I took a bus journey from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls (a luxury bus much like airline business class).  Sunrise March 20 came as we were approaching Buenos Aires:

Today's sunrise is from my first Cunard voyage that was not a transatlantic.  It was a 2010 Queen Victoria World Cruise segment from Bangkok to Dubai. March 23 was my first sea day and we were between Ko Samui and Singapore.

@Host Hattie - Ah the dirty window issue. I know it well. We get glorious sunrises from our bathroom, but the window is impossible to clean because it is 3 floors up and on a steep incline. But since you’ve been brave I’ll have my phone at the ready the next time we get a stunner.

@rafinmd How is it to move from one ship to another like that?

Very nice.  It was a 3-day layover between ships in Cape Town and among other things I visited Robben Island where Mandela was imprisoned and ovenighted at a wildlife park.  In 2020 I had 3 days between Crystal Serenity and Queen Mary 2 in Sydney and a highlight was performances at the Opera House.

@rafinmd The Sydney Opera House is on my List. We travel to attend symphony concerts and concert halls. Have you been to Disney Hall in LA? I wonder how they compare.

I have not been to Disney Hall (closest is the concert hall in Long Beach) and I have not been to a major concert at Sydney Opera House (off season in March).  I think there are 4 major venues:

1. Probably a dedicated opera venue

2. A symphonic venue

3.  The Drama Theater:  I saw a play called "No Pay, No Way"

4. A relatively intimate venue called "The Studio".  That was the home for the musical "Six":

Many years ago (I think 2003) I also attended a chamber music performance which I think was also in the studio.

Today's sunrise is from my 2015 Grandeur of the Seas cruise out of Baltimore.  On March 25 we visited Cozumel:

I'll go off topic a bit and add that I finally at least "almost" have a "current" Cunard voyage booked, M219, Independence Day New England and Canada.  My TA is currently working out the final details.  I'm also booked on M330A, New England and Canada in September 2023 but I wouldn't call that current.
