Rare rafinmd Posted December 30, 2021 Author #578 Share Posted December 30, 2021 Awesome, bluemarble. Minetoday is no match but I live sunrise wherever I can find it. Today's is another from my 2014-15 Ryndam New Years cruise, a sea day on December 30. Roy
techteach Posted December 31, 2021 #579 Share Posted December 31, 2021 (edited) @rafinmdRoy, you continue to amaze me with the number of cruises you have taken, and your diligence in always having your camera at the ready! BklynBoy8 Posted December 31, 2021 #580 Share Posted December 31, 2021 Sunset on the last evening, Thursday of 2021 12/30 with it's view from under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Our favorite bridge we sail under coming and going on our Sailings. (Shore Walkway along Shore Road - Bay Ridge)
Rare rafinmd Posted December 31, 2021 Author #581 Share Posted December 31, 2021 My New Years Eve photo is from my 1999-2000 New Years trip on the Sierra Madre Express train to Mexico's Copper Canyon (Sadly, the railroad went under in 2009). Since this is pre-digital and no metadata I'm not really sure if this is a sunrise or sunset or even the exact date but it's at least very close to New Years Eve. bluemarble Posted January 1, 2022 #583 Share Posted January 1, 2022 To complete a trilogy of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico sunrise photos, here is one taken today, January 1, 2022 from Viking Orion. This is our final day at Cabo San Lucas before we return to San Pedro, California to end this memorable cruise. Happy New Year everyone!
Rare rafinmd Posted January 1, 2022 Author #584 Share Posted January 1, 2022 I have a sunrise today from my Sierra Madre Express trip. We celebrated the millennium in an isolated scenic clifftop hotel away from electronics and all the trappings of modern life. Not really much of a view of the sun but I loved the view looking down on the hotel roof. Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted January 2, 2022 Author #585 Share Posted January 2, 2022 Today's sunrise is from my 2014-15 New Years cruise on MS Ryndam. On January 2 we visited Costa Maya. Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted January 3, 2022 Author #586 Share Posted January 3, 2022 Another sunrise today from my Ryndam New Years Eve and my last ever sunrise from that ship. January 3 was a sea day on the way back to Tampa: Roy

Rare rafinmd Posted January 4, 2022 Author #588 Share Posted January 4, 2022 Today's sunrise really is today. If it's a bit blurry it was taken from inside through the window on a very cold morning. Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted January 5, 2022 Author #589 Share Posted January 5, 2022 Today's sunrise is a lot more tropical than yesterday's. It's from my 2019 Prinsendam Grand South America cruise, and was taken on our first day out of Fort Lauderdale heading towards the Panama Canal. Rare rafinmd Posted January 6, 2022 Author #590 Share Posted January 6, 2022 The premise of today's sunrise may seem a bit strange. In 2016 I too a Crystal Symphony cruise to Antarctica out of Buenos Aires. Hesitant to fly from the Northeast in the middle of winter for a bucket list cruise I booked a January QM2 crossing to Southampton with a transfer to Queen Victoria to Fort Lauderdale, allowing me to catch a nonstop to Buenos Aires with little weather risk. It turned out to be a good decision as Maryland got about 3 feet (1 meter) of snow the day I would have started a direct journey. January 6 was one of my first sea days on QM2, Roy 3
Rare rafinmd Posted January 7, 2022 Author #591 Share Posted January 7, 2022 I don't have a sunrise for January 7 so once again, this really is today: I do plan to clear the rest of the car but at that time I had reached my limit for being outside without warming up. Rare rafinmd Posted January 8, 2022 Author #592 Share Posted January 8, 2022 Even when subdued I like to see a sunrise or even a hint of one. This is from Crystal Serenity January 8. 2018 on the last morning before entering the Panama Canal towards Los Angeles. Roy
exlondoner Posted January 8, 2022 #593 Share Posted January 8, 2022 You call that subdued? It would qualify as splendidly garish compared with what we are getting at present. 😀 2
Rare rafinmd Posted January 9, 2022 Author #594 Share Posted January 9, 2022 I expect a few consecutive sunrises from my 2018 Crystal World Cruise. On January 9 the Crystal Serenity visited Cartagena Colombia. I'm a bit confused by the cable but think it was attached to a live raft. Rare rafinmd Posted January 10, 2022 Author #595 Share Posted January 10, 2022 Another sunrise from my 2018 Crystal World Cruise. January 10 was a sea day between Cartagena and the Panama Canal. Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted January 11, 2022 Author #596 Share Posted January 11, 2022 Today's sunrise is from my 2019 MS Prinsendam Grand South America cruise. January 11 was a sea day between Panama City and Manta: Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted January 12, 2022 Author #597 Share Posted January 12, 2022 When I last posted a photo from my 2016 trip that featured Crystal Symphony to Antarctica I was on QM2 approaching Southampton. On January 10 I transferred to Queen Victoria and January 12 was our second sea day on the way to Ponta Delgada and onwards to Fort Lauderdale. Rare rafinmd Posted January 13, 2022 Author #598 Share Posted January 13, 2022 Today's sunrise is from my 2018 Crystal World Cruise. On January 13 Crystal Serenity was at sea between Panama and Costa Rica. Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted January 14, 2022 Author #599 Share Posted January 14, 2022 I have a sunset today rather than a sunrise. It was taken on MS Prinsendam January 14, 2019 as we were leaving Salaverry Peru: Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted January 15, 2022 Author #600 Share Posted January 15, 2022 Today's collage follows sunrise as a process, rather than an instant. It was taken January 15, 2018, on the Crystal Serenity between Caldera and Acapulco: Roy
