Today's photo is a sunset rather than a sunrise.  It's from my nephew's wedding cruise.  On December 19, 2012 Celebrity Summit visited Antigua.

This week has consisted of some of the few days of the year when sunrise in Bournemouth is after 8 am, and therefore there is a slight chance I might be up in time to see it. Alas, on every day there has been complete cloud cover at that time. So you are spared.

Another sunset instead of a sunrise from my nephew's 2012 wedding cruise.  On December 20 the Celebrity Summit visited St. Maarten.

Just a hint of a sunrise today.  This is from my MS Prinsendam 2013 Amazon Adventure.  December 21 was our  last sea day.

And today, now the days are getting longer, just to show it can, the sun has appeared. Two photographs: the first about three minutes before sun rise, the second half an hour later, when it actually became visible between the houses opposite.

Just FYi, sunrise is still getting later even though the days are getting longer, because sunset is getting later faster than sunrise.

Today's sunrise really is today.  It's been a pretty cloudy day but this is the first time I really saw the sun on my morning walk in a parking garage in my local mall.

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it or perhaps almost Boxing Day.  I don't have a photo for December 25 so here's another from yesterday's walk..  It was taken earlier from a different location.  I'm pretty sure the sun was actually up and hiding but it gave some nice color to the morning clouds.

I have never been on a ship between December 22 and December 28,  Today's sunrise really is today, taken on my morning walk and grocery run.  This was taken as the sun came above the store next to my neighborhood grocery.

Today's sunrise is from my 2014-15 New Years cruise on MS Ryndam.  While Key West is known for it's sunsets my December 29 sunrise came out better than the sunset in Key West.
