Rare rafinmd Posted December 19, 2021 Author #552 Share Posted December 19, 2021 Today's photo is a sunset rather than a sunrise. It's from my nephew's wedding cruise. On December 19, 2012 Celebrity Summit visited Antigua. Roy
exlondoner Posted December 19, 2021 #553 Share Posted December 19, 2021 This week has consisted of some of the few days of the year when sunrise in Bournemouth is after 8 am, and therefore there is a slight chance I might be up in time to see it. Alas, on every day there has been complete cloud cover at that time. So you are spared. 2
Rare rafinmd Posted December 20, 2021 Author #554 Share Posted December 20, 2021 @exlondoner I wish you a great Bournemouth sunrise and would love to see it. Another sunset instead of a sunrise from my nephew's 2012 wedding cruise. On December 20 the Celebrity Summit visited St. Maarten. Roy
exlondoner Posted December 20, 2021 #555 Share Posted December 20, 2021 Not even a glimmer of sunlight today, I'm afraid. Thank heavens for Vitamin D tablets! 1

exlondoner Posted December 22, 2021 #559 Share Posted December 22, 2021 And today, now the days are getting longer, just to show it can, the sun has appeared. Two photographs: the first about three minutes before sun rise, the second half an hour later, when it actually became visible between the houses opposite.

Just FYi, sunrise is still getting later even though the days are getting longer, because sunset is getting later faster than sunrise. Rare rafinmd Posted December 22, 2021 Author #561 Share Posted December 22, 2021 The latest I have ever disembarked a ship before Christmas was in 2013 on the Prinsendam. It was a pretty cloudy morning as we docked in Fort Lauderdale December 22: Roy

Rare rafinmd Posted December 24, 2021 Author #566 Share Posted December 24, 2021 Today's sunrise really is today. It's been a pretty cloudy day but this is the first time I really saw the sun on my morning walk in a parking garage in my local mall. Rare rafinmd Posted December 25, 2021 Author #568 Share Posted December 25, 2021 (edited) Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it or perhaps almost Boxing Day. I don't have a photo for December 25 so here's another from yesterday's walk.. It was taken earlier from a different location. I'm pretty sure the sun was actually up and hiding but it gave some nice color to the morning clouds. Rare rafinmd Posted December 26, 2021 Author #569 Share Posted December 26, 2021 I have never been on a ship between December 22 and December 28, Today's sunrise really is today, taken on my morning walk and grocery run. This was taken as the sun came above the store next to my neighborhood grocery. Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted December 27, 2021 Author #570 Share Posted December 27, 2021 Today's sunrise (or possibly sunset) is from my Millenium trip to the Copper Canyon on the Sierra Madre Express train. I'm not sure this is December 27,1999 but it easily could be: Roy
Rare rafinmd Posted December 28, 2021 Author #571 Share Posted December 28, 2021 A sunset today instead of a sunrise. This is from my one and only New Years cruise, leaving our embarkation port of Tampa on December 28, 2014, Roy

Rare rafinmd Posted December 29, 2021 Author #575 Share Posted December 29, 2021 Today's sunrise is from my 2014-15 New Years cruise on MS Ryndam. While Key West is known for it's sunsets my December 29 sunrise came out better than the sunset in Key West. Roy
