Cruises to Bermuda in February & March

Looking to see if any cruises peak my interest and I see they have multiple cruises going to Bermuda In Febuary & March

 

Who would want to do that?

The average (not high...the average of high and low) air temperature in Bermuda is 62.8 in February and 64.3 in March. Not beach weather but great if you're a golfer or just sightseeing. Those cruises originate in Boston and NY where the weather can be unpleasantly cold, damp and snowy to say the least . For the right price I'd certainly consider one of those cruises.

i feel the opposite. i love the cool/cold weather much much better then the hot sticky humid weather

Wow...couldn't believe this, so I did a search to see which cruise line could possibly be offering a cruise to Bermuda in Feb/Mar.   Actually did find a 5-day NYC to Bermuda itinerary on the NCL Getaway starting Feb. 5, 2023, with the NCL Pearl sailing from Boston to Bermuda starting in late March, 2023.  Would not consider either of those, no matter how cheap the fare.  Brrrrr......🥶

And the 5 days to Bermuda doesn't give you the relaxed Bermuda time that makes it so great.

Call them cruises Escape from the Cold …

 

High 50’s to mid 60’s here with sunny days. Very pleasant. 
 

But there are some bad days though.

We go to Bermuda for some beach time... to chilly for us at that time of the year.

Those "mild" winter days in Bermuda can feel good if and when you can get away from the blizzards & Nor-easters from the gateway ports (NYC but Boston ??) as long as harbor isn't frozen solid (odds are against that, but ...)  However, many businesses are in their winter mode - not all the shops at Clocktower Mall at Dockyard are open or will have shorten hours; and, ditto for their bus & ferry systems for getting around - especially if you are looking at Saturdays but especially Sundays.  

 

We're sailed an early April one out of NY to Bermuda and many on Front Street were still in quasi-hibernation: research & plan your sightseeing scheme accordingly.

One of the reasons we picked the early April transatlantic on the Epic is that it stops overnight in Bermuda.  We are not beach people but do want to see what they look like and hopefully we can get a tour of the island then and come back another time to explore Bermuda thoroughly.

I went to Bermuda once in early May and the ocean was really rough.  After that, I found out that it calms down in June.  Maybe I just was really unlucky.

June seems to be the perfect time to go to Bermuda. Water temp is usually high 70's, its getting hot but not the oppressive heat and humidity you have in July and August.

We like going Septemberish....kids are going back to school...water temps are perfect....and we also like "Living on the edge" IOW we ain't scared of no hurricanes! 🤣
