So I noticed on our app for Eq on Oct 29, the menus for the MDR have changed. Day 6 used to be the night for warm water lobster tail, but has changed to red snapper, roast turkey, and Cordon Bleu.

I checked out the app for tomorrow night on this Aug 15 cruise...same thing. I didn't check all the days, but on ours I did--nary a lobster tail to be found.

Does anyone know if Eq has changed this for a reason? @aring75, would you mind seeing if this is true tomorrow and, if you go there, what happened? We will need to change to Murano, apparently, for DW's lobster fix!

(Yes, everyone, I know they are different lobsters but we hadn't wanted to pay $100 for the difference!)

Thank you!

This reminds me of our search for chips onboard X ships. My husband loves to get his salt fix by eating chips of any variety. Celebrity does not have chips anywhere we have found in our cruising history! So now he brings a few small bags with him to get him through 😂

I've seen them before in the Buffet at the sandwich station.   Sometimes in a big bowl with tongs other times in bags.     They also sell them in the gift shop.

And we have  received them as a side when a sandwich has been ordered from room service……simple plain salted ones.

Usually the traditional lobster night in the MDR is the second Evening Chic night but when I looked in the app,  I can confirm what you found for our Aug 27th cruise as well. We are booked on the second night in Murano but the menu shows a "warm water" lobster tail, which are just terrible compared to cold water ones, and IMHO not worth wasting our $ on in Murano.

We'll probably go with the chateaubriand in Murano - depending, of course, on Mark and Angela's experience tonight.  🙂

That is our thinking to, also waiting on Mark and Angela's review. Our back up is the 5 spice crusted venison, both of these entrees are not easily found where we live.

Hi all,

I am enjoying reading this thread in anticipation of our 8/27 Equinox Cruise. I have been on this ship many times and it is one of my favorites.
I posted this question on other threads and have only had one affirmation.
Has Celebrity accepted the CVS Rapid Antigen test at the pier?  Many are posting that they are getting them. Celebrity verbally stated they are accepting them, but the fact that Celebrity’s letter specifies “antigen tests” and not rapid antigen tests worries me. We are flying in from California so don’t have much wiggle room.
Have you or any cruisers cleared boarding with the rapid antigen test?

Thank you!

I always bring a bag of cashews and pretzels on board along with several smaller baggies so that when I have my afternoon beers at the Mast Bar, I'm all set! Inevitably I'm asked by a fellow passenger(s) where did I get them. 🤭

This is a Last Voyage. Mark got a Bailey’s. Okay, Mark got two Bailey’s.

A look at the nearly empty Ensemble Lounge. We have been here after dinner and could hardly find a seat. Feels so quiet!

Definitely like the look of "The Last Voyage."  Assuming the same will be available on Reflection in November. 🙂

That's ridiculous.  I'll still have a suit on chic night and DW dressed to the nines.  COVID should not remove standards.

I completely agree!  Thank you for this!  We dress well every night - DH wears suits and I wear beautiful clothes - and you know what?  The MDR staff love it!  They take great care in providing a fine dining experience for us and we believe we should rise to the occasion.

Good to know! We searched all around the buffet  area, or we thought we did 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not to hijack the thread but Celebrity has updated it's testing information today with much more clarity.   No reason the CVS Rapid Antigen test would not be accepted.

It makes for a better experience all around.  Want to wear shorts and a tee shirt?  Go to the buffet.

Just read through the protocols…the one that really didn’t seem accurate was the social distancing…we were on the Edge for the 7/17 sailing and there was no distancing…no markers..the casino tables were  packed..we had a great time and it felt like cruises of the past..I didn’t think that has changed it’s strange they included that in the document
