My greatest regret about our cruise is that I missed blueberry pancake day…twice. It’s a tragedy!

I had them a couple of times even when it wasn't listed on the menu.  They had blueberries so they were available on request.  And they were yummy!

I ate a nice lunch, but three of the people at my table had nothing but complaints about this cruise. I had the spanakopita. It was good but could have been crispier.

The weather is still rainy and the seas are rocking a little bit. They've closed the outside patios on the Promenade Deck. I noticed more smoke from the casino as a result.

There's not a shop for purchasing bottles of liquor onboard the Majestic. You can order it through the TV for delivery the last day of the cruise. But they did set up a stand with bottles of liquor this last day of our cruise near the theater. Someone asked about cigarettes while I was completing my purchase. The salesman said they ran out two cruises ago because people were buying 6, 8, and 10 cartons at the time.

@geoherbThank you for your positivity. Those of us who are not quite yet ready for jumping onboard, have benefited from your generosity to share your experiences with us. You brought back some wonderful memories of ship life for me, and now I have a new option to look forward to in 2022. I  especially enjoyed seeing your photos from the winemaker's dinner, complete with the Yao Ming reference to his basketball career. No wonder there is a giant size wine bottle on display! Was is 7 feet high? LOL

Safe home for you. Enjoy these final hours on board.

@geoherb did they do embarkation or port photos this cruise. I know previously princess wasn't.

No. But they did have backdrops around the ship for people to pose for photographs and did them in Glacier Bay in front of Margerie Glacier. Everything is digital now. There are computers for people to look for their photos and choose which ones to purchase. Friends showed me their watermarked proofs through the app. I haven't had the photographers take my photo this cruise. One of the people at lunch was saying how nice it was that the photographers aren't interrupting meals like they used to.

I hate smelling smoke on the ship and in the casino but I guess they don't have to go through customs so buy a ton of cigarettes.

I did see a guy with about 100 cartons of cigarettes in Southampton. Customs were counting how many he had. Apparently even after paying the tax he was still getting them half price.

Geoherb-Thank you for a wonderful "live" of your Majestic sailing.

I am sure you do not remember us, but we sailed with you and DH on Caribbean Princess.

Spent many early evenings enjoying Skywalker's. You were both so well traveled and glad to share your own experiences. I am always glad to read of your ongoing travels.

Safe travels and please let DH we remember him (and you) despite the passing of time.

Do any of you happen to know if they are selling the all inclusive photo packages? Much appreciated! 🙂😊

They were not selling the all inclusive package last week.  Most likely because it would be hard to take enough photos to make it worthwhile, at least compared to when they did embarkation, dining room, and port photos.  There should be a 10 photo package available on Princess.com beforehand.  We got a 5 photo package onboard which was $99 for printed and digital and $89 for just digital; we just did digital as I use those for my digital scrapbooking.

My checked bag is packed and outside my door. I opted for the Port Valet option since it doesn't cost extra--just the airline's usual luggage fee. I won't see my checked bag until I get back to RDU. That's a nice service.

We had too many people for trivia, so I joined a guy playing alone. We finished second behind my usual team but the host gave us coasters as consolation prizes. I gave mine away again. I managed to finish the couple of beers that were left and my last Perrier before going to the show. I enjoyed hearing the guest singers again and seeing the comic magician.

Dinner with friends was too long. The dining room was not very crowded. It took two hours. I had the watermelon and feta appetizer, a seafood appetizer, Asian noodles, surf and turf, and Meyer lemon creme brulee. It's nice that Princess is mixing up the always available items with some variations. The chicken and salmon dishes have been having different sauces and accompanying items. The cheesecake and now creme brulee have been different. The only problem was that it wasn't that good. I did not take much lemon and the brulee was too burnt. The lemon cheesecake at the International Cafe was the best lemon dessert I had on the ship.

When I was in the Navy, we could buy sea stores once outside the international limit (3 mile or 12 mile? I don't remember). They were $1.00 a carton.

@geoherbThanks for all the great live posts. We will be on the 9/26/2021 Majestic sailing and have been glued to these "Live From" threads. I had lowered my expectations for the "Live Froms" after the first few, but you delivered in spades! I don't think I could have possibly missed it but I asked a question early on that I did not see an answer to. You posted that you had gotten Wifi calling set up on your phone. What was your experience with it north of Vancouver Island? Thanks again. We loved your thread!

I did some Facetime from Glacier Bay. Lousy images, but audio was fine.

Our group purchased the all inclusive photo package in advance and we were advised that it would be refunded a few weeks ago (several weeks after purchase).

Thanks for sharing your insights this trip. I was a little surprised to see the changes to the always available section of the menu. My picky eater travel partner was disappointed to learn that the Princess burger was no longer listed whereas I loved how they used to change up the burger toppings each evening. I loved one I had that was topped with asparagus, crab meat, and blue cheese so much I would have loved having it as a separate dish. On the flip side, I'm not usually into the cake and chocolate desserts so the plain cheesecake is my main go to. I'm hoping that once on board I can ask them for a slice without any flavoring added.
