ms Nieuw Statendam and ms Rotterdam in Port Everglades January 2, 2022

Happy New Year everyone!  To start the year we have six cruise ships - two HAL - in Port Everglades.  I feel sorry for anyone who is trying to fly into FLL right now.  

 

Nieuw Statendam will be at pier 26 (port to) from 5:30 am to 4 pm.  She is heading out on a 10-day Southern Caribbean Wayfarer cruise.

Rotterdam will be at pier 21 (starboard to) from 6:15 am to 4 pm.  She will be going on a 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruise.

 

Also in port are:  Caribbean Princess at pier 2 (5am - 4 pm), Celebrity Edge at pier 25 (6am - 3:30pm), Celebrity Reflection at pier 29 (4:30am-4pm), and Odyssey of the Seas at pier 18 (5:15am-5pm).

 

With four ships scheduled to leave at 4 pm it might be a slow sail-away day.

It shouldn't be too bad if at least one ship starts the parade at 4 pm. It's getting the first one going - that seems to be the sticking point.

From the conversation between Noordam and Rotterdam, they are planning to transfer something from one ship to the other.

 

Maybe Noordam is not even going to dock, just hover there while they transfer whatever it is...

 

"Two five crew members" being transferred ?
