We are excited to try VV...we were scheduled to be onboard your sailing, but decided to postpone until protocols return to 'no mask req'.  It'll be interesting to see who's first...VV or X...winner will be getting our $$ first.

Here are some photos of when it was parked near us at Costa Maya. I was really excited to try this line (possibly even as my next cruise) until we ran into a travel agent (who was on the virgin ship) and shared some of her opinions of it. It gave me some hesitation in my rush to book.

but it is a gorgeous and interesting looking vessel. It looked like a silver bullet or floating Hindenburg coming into dock.  I watched it for 30 mins from an upper deck.

Deciding whether or not to cruise them has been an interesting decision for us to make as well.  It seems people either love it or hate it....not a lot in between.  Apparently the crew appears to be just part of the pax, whether it be dressing the part at a dinner table right next to ya, in the tatoo parlor, in in a yoga class.  We figure the best way to decide is give it a try.

Run that by me again ... tattoo parlor?  Would that be next door to the pawn shop on the Promenade deck?

I saw a review of it on Emma Cruises and there are no drawers in the staterooms. No drawers! It seems edgier than other cruise lines. For example their ice cream parlor is named: "Lick me till...Ice Cream."

I heard the cabins are more like a college dorm. Plus...."it's a swingers cruise"....I didn't say that but that's what I had a friend to tell me that sailed this fall. Jump over to VC page and read up on some of the nightly sessions they have. 🤣

the curved backend is similar to MSC newer ships.  And the newer coming down the pike NCL will have the same silhouette as well.

One thing I did like that I have seen on You Tube videos is, Virgin has a RED night - the opposite of Carnival's WHITE night.  Folks wear red clothes. Also, the wake of the ship has red spotlight on the back.

I am not sure if I would go on Virgin as I rather enjoy watching kids on ships.  I do not have any but in these times, kids do not talk about politics or anything controversial.  They just play and seem happy.

Virgin might be too swinging for me and I do not drink alcohol nor do I gamble.  Love ships with smokey casinos so I do those DCL cruises.

I love an edgy experience but omg the VV marketing EXHAUSTS me. I feel like they're trying so hard to be different. Good for those who enjoy it, I just can't w the marketing.

It would be nice to experience their dining concept, though.

Not a lot different than how Celebrity was saturating the market with EDGE advertising when it was first announced.  Don't believe me, just go ask Alice.

I've watched several videos on the Scarlet Lady, and while parts of the shup are beautiful, the cabin leave me wanting. If you want to see their furniture, go to any Ikea store, The pool is about the size of a large bathtub, and the vibe just seems cold to me.

I'm currently on Scarlet Lady. I guess my husband and I should be insulted that no one has hit on us to swing.

I actually like the cabin. I thought the hammock on the balcony would be gimmicky,  but is so comfortable. I took a nap in at the other day.

There is one drawer under the bed, and shelves in the closet. We didn't have trouble finding places for all of our things. Love the rainfall showerhead.

My biggest hesitation in booking for Europe this summer is masks are not required.

Understand that.  The beauty of choices...well, for us, maskless choices aren't very plentiful right now, but X and VV should be the first to return to such here in the states.  I'm one that has faith that the vax is enough, or it isn't.
