So as I mentioned earlier, I kind If ended quietly last night. We had dinner at the Teppanyaki and I stuck to Pellegrino through dinner. After dinner we went to the karaoke, I butchered candle in the wind, stuck with my water for that and then headed to the room. I was intending to stay up for the U2 cover band but the energy started to wane, I can catch them on Thursday night.

I slept in this morning so had a late breakfast in the wind jammer around 10 o’clock. Then headed to 270 for the veterans get together. It was an excellent presentation they did and I was glad to be part of it. Now just kind of hanging in the solarium and trying to catch up again on the beverage package for the day. Both around the pool and in the solarium the chair hawks are in peak form. I ended up getting lucky and finding a decent chair here so I’m thankful for that.

Also, last night in the windjammer they had a cool cake in honor of the super bowl.

I closed out the 1st quarter quietly last night and I’m in a second quarter slump but  I’m sure I’ll rally here in a bit. Just getting rolling now.

It's okay to lose a quarter or two as long as you win the game.  I have full confidence in you, but I'll put on my rally cap just in case. 😉

I started drinking them when I was in Glasgow in 2013 and I’ve been addicted ever since.

I started to consume it in the mid 90s, as it was the same price as draft beer at the Queens Engineering Pub in Kingston. It was always better on ice.

I would occasionally visit friends there, and as a guest I would get entrance to their pub. We would arrive at noon, when it opened on Friday partaking in the fun all afternoon.  That then turned into a evening of celebrations, until closing at 2am. They did shut for a few hours to restock the kegs and mop the floors. The guests would leave to get some food to absorb said alcohol.

It often made me wonder about the “quality” of the future engineers as they left at 3pm for class, only to return an hour later while still pickled. 😂

I see your problem.  Karaoke and water don't mix.  Alcohol must be involved so that you either sound good, or you don't care.

I told ya TREE you came out of the gate to fast yesterday.  time to regroup and fire up the engines.  I think your in need of a couple Planters punch.  Be specific that you want them to use Meyers Rum.  You will be back in game shape.

Whatever you do BE SURE to see LA-vation its a must.  Keep us posted and have a great night.

Ok Planters punch is.  We’re still ahead but i felt like I lost momentum.  I’ll going strong today.

So I had a big long summary of yesterday’s typed out and somehow it vanished when I hit submit.  This one will be a little more truncated.

Yesterday day was a different kind of day for me.  It primarily consisted of me in the casino and eating.

The eating part was Chops lunch but i took it easy.  I just had a steak and Caesar salad.  I don’t think I have ever eaten this much on a cruise ever! As @Jimbo pointed out earlier, I’m not unfamiliar with eating inordinate amounts of food.  However, I feel like I need a cleanse and I’m only at day 4.

Dinner was Giovanni’s.  I had Giant Meatball for an appy and the Filet for my main.  Closed out with a Canoli for dessert.  All of it was good, the giant meatball was excellent.  It was both formal night and Valentine’s Day so everyone was extremely well turned out.  It was only the tiniest fraction of people who weren’t dressed for the occasion all over the ship.

What was unusual about yesterday was besides an hour at the solarium and the eating we did and a little nap i spent the rest of the day at the casino.  I’ve become quite addicted to Blackjack.  I’m still a novice but I’m learning and so far I’m up $65.  I know it isn’t much but I’m in the black so i feel pretty good and it was a lot of fun.

Today it is zone zero, LA vation and the Taps show.  I might jump on the Northstar.  I have a free one schedule for tomorrow but the pay one they hang you off the side of the ship i heard.  We’ll see how the day unfolds

Lunch will be the pub or playmakers, I think.  Dinner is Wonderland.  I’m a little nervous about that.  I don’t know if I’m really adventurous enough of an eater for that.

Pictures to follow.

Score as of last night 265-180

I consider breaking even to be a win. Free entertainment.

I'm your basic, old fashion meat-n-potatoes kind of guy. Take out Chinese is about as exotic as I get. And I would never eat anything that swims in the ocean. And I enjoyed Wonderland. It's pretty good (not great) and the seafood didn't taste like seafood so that was good. Worth the experience at least once or once every half-dozen cruises or so.

You won't leave full so plan before-&-after snacking accordingly.

Meatballs are right up there with pizza on my preferred food list.

Remember what I told you about drink pictures and a name to go with them?😐😇

It was nice to meet you at the blackjack table before the boss called you for lunch.  I'm sure Andy and I will be running into you there again, as it's one of our favorite hangouts.

Thanks Joy, it was great meeting you and Andy. I’m having fun and meeting great folks.

In the words of Arnold…. I’ll be back
