Woo hoo! Believe testing on outbound international as well as domestic flights is still in place. Waiting for an announcement on these flights but would think that some sort of coordination with US entry requirements will be required.Ā

There has never been a TESTING requirement for domestic flights in either Canada or the US. Any testing on outbound international flights from Canada is determined by the requirements of the country you are flying TO.

Only vaccinations are required for domestic flights, not testing.

The article originally stated this but has since been corrected to say vaccination is still required

The article says they ā€œexpectā€ the requirement to be removed. Ā Hopefully they are correct but Iā€™ll believe it when itā€™s officially announced. Ā
Ā

Fingers crossed. Ā

The information has been published in multiple sources, so is likely to be true, but I understand your hesitation.

What a misleading thread title. Until an official GOC announcement is made, if it ever is, a test is required to enter Canada.

Ā

At least two generally reliable news sources are reporting lifting of the requirement by the end of the month. So there is real hope that the reporting is accurate. But until the actual announcement is made we won't know the details. Certainly as others have pointed out nothing has been said to suggest cruise ships are included.

Press Conference tomorrow for the announcement at 11am EST šŸ™‚

It may be 'next' but not for some time yet I think.Ā  Still need to keep track of vaccination status and a couple of other CV-19 related items .

As I said on another thread, Iā€™d rather enter it in advance through the app than wait in a longer line for everyone to show their paper versions.Ā
