There is a demi-sec Vouvray and the Navarro Gewürztraminer in Vines that may be to your liking.  Both are soft whites with a trace of residual sugar and very low free acid levels.  There’s also the Errazuiz late harvest dessert wine which could be served on pancakes.

Thanks everyone for your great suggestions. We made a command decision after trying a couple of the $12 offerings and just reserved 5 bottles of their Moscato for $29  each (net after the discount) that came in on a shipment delivered in SF. We had plenty of OBC so why avoid the inevitable. 😂😂

OK, I just HAD to respond to a photo.

The movie offering is EDWARD SCISSORSHANDS??!!

I mean, I'm all about classic movies, but with all the John Hughes movies of a similar time period, THIS is the movie of choice?

Ugh.

I thought this was on purpose because he’s a very popular topic at the moment.

Hi,

Whenever you happen to be in the casino can you check the minimum bet for 3 Card Poker and Blackjack. Was generally $5, hope they didn’t raise it.

Here’s the betting range at the black jacket table.

Isn’t that a Moscato under fruity category? Moscato is my favorite 😊

Yes, that’s the one we bought 5 bottles of. I’m thinking they offer the “less than premium” wines by the glass which are included in the drink package. But if you want access to the truly premium (tasty) varieties, you’re going to have to shell out a few extra $$. But that’s fine. At least they give you a 25% discount if you have the drink package.

On Celebrity if you want access to their premium wine varieties by the glass as well as access to their top shelf spirits, you have to upgrade to their premium package which is around $12 more per day if you have already purchased their Classic beverage package. It’s all part of the game.

Ken,

Did you see any whales while anchored in Cabo?

Cheers

Just the one I posted a picture of on page 7. But it sure was fun watching jump out of the water about 10-15 times before going out of view. We also saw earlier a lone dolphin swimming near the ship looking for its friends. I have to say there is definitely plenty of wildlife to see in and around the bay at Cabo!! 😁😁

Ok, I’m going to suggest that if you can, try a glass of the Camus Conundrum.  Following is description from winery:  “Blending wines was almost unthinkable when Conundrum White was born in 1989, launching a trend that continues to this day. Grapes for this blend come from sought-after California AVAs from Napa Valley to Santa Barbara County. While the exact blend is under wraps, every vintage includes Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscat Canelli, and Viognier. Conundrum White is amazingly versatile, with intriguing tropical notes, natural acidity and a refreshing dry finish. Best served chilled. “

The last time I tried it, it was quite smooth.  As you can see it has both Semilloon and Muscat Canelli, as well as Viognier.  All of those are quite smooth.  Worth a try!  From a well known Napa winery.

Norm

Thanks Norm. I actually did give the Conundrum a try. You’re right, it didn’t have too much acidity, but I’m learning I’m just a “fruity” wine kind of guy. Maybe because we have a blueberry, blackberry, peaches, muscadine and persimmon farm back home and I’ve just grown fond of that smooth, fruity taste. But thanks for your thoughts! 😁

If anyone has a chance, could you check on the numbers sailing on the next few cruises through May please.  Their website says they are sold out!

The next leg in the Caribbean has been sold out for a few months now. But I’ll try to remember a few days before this cruise ends to ask Guest Services if they have an estimate for the next cruise. I’m not sure if they get the details for any cruises following the “next leg”, but I’ll ask.

I guess I’m going to have to pop by Vines and see what they offer “by the glass” that at least comes close to Moscato. Thanks!

Try their "flights" at vines if they are offering them.  A great way to try something new.

Ken so did you leave the ship in Cabo or stay onboard while everyone else left.  I was there in Oct 2021 and it was very hot and humid.  We did not spend a lot of time ashore due to the heat.

Normally the Future Cruise Representative is able to give you the numbers for the next cruise or any cruise for that matter.  Also Guest Services should be able to give you the numbers for the next cruise.  Thanks in advance for getting this number for the next leg!

Cheers

We stayed onboard as we have been to Cabo a few times before and didn’t see any “wildlife” excursions that really wowed us that we hadn’t been on before.

Ken, can you tell if the Platinum/Elite daily happy hour is still happening in Skywalkers? I see in your daily patter Elite hour 5-7 is in Fusion. I really hope it is still in Skywalkers.

Whatever it says in the Patter is probably where it’s being held in this cruise.
