X Tier Status

We are not veteran cruisers yet, so we never paid attention to "Tier Status" and the perks you get.

We were notified that we are approaching the "Elite Tier".

So, I looked it up on X website and noticed that there are 2 interesting perks.

Daily Breakfast Coffee Lounge ?

Captain's Club Elite Cocktail Hour ?

Do these perks really happen ?

Anybody ever use these perks and if so tell me about it, thanx !image.thumb.png.9dfb6e49e8cf19c8b7ffbe767042340c.png

I like the Elite Breakfast as it is much quieter than the buffet.  However, we have to compromise as DH much prefers a full breakfast.  The elite breakfast is more a heavy continental breakfast with fruits, pastries, bagels and various cold cuts.  I am very happy with half a bagel, cream cheese and smoked salmon along with a nice selection of fruit.  Also available are Bloody Marys, Mimosas and Bellinis. . . even if you don’t have a beverage package.

As said earlier, the cocktail hour is a nice treat if you’re not booked with a beverage package.  In the past it was held in the Sky Observation Lounge from 5:00-7:00 pm.  The event now includes the same menu that was offered in the past but it is now available to elite passengers and above at most of the bars and lounges on the ship from 5:00-7:00 pm.

The breakfast break on M&S class ships is from 8 to 10 AM in the Tucson Grille. Light breakfast, continental style.  Also you get complimentary  bloody marys, mimosas and bellinis.

Before the shut down the CC HH was nice. Drinks and snacks in the Sky Lounge (M&S class ships) from 5 to 7PM. What I've read here on CC is the CC HH is still happening from 5 to 7 at most bars but no longer an organize event in the Sky Lounge and no pre dinner snacks.

We love the breakfast. Very relaxed. Sometimes it can be quiet but on cruises with lots of sea days for example Transatlantics it's usually very well attended. Event also includes speciality teas and coffees , orange juice and great smoothies in various flavours.

Celebrity had moved the Elite HHR to most all lounges and not a specific location for many of the cruises prior to the Pandemic, mainly I believe due to the numbers.

and the Elite breakfast includes lattes and capachinos. .

True but you can now get them at any bar and carry them into the restaurant. Elite+ can also get their lattes, capachinos etc in the dining room.

No, that is not correct at all. The Elite+ coffee benefit is ONLY available in Cafe Al Bacio and Segundo Bacio. That was confirmed on the Reflection and the Apex.

Our September 2019 NE/Canada cruise was held in the SL. Very well attended. But all of of CC HH have been in the SL prior to the shutdown.  Was hoping this September NE/Canada cruise was going to have the CC HH including snacks in the SL like all our past cruises. Not a show stopper, just disappointed with Celebrity's decision.

I don’t know how many cruises you have been on or what your status is.  If you aren’t a veteran cruiser you probably aren’t that close unless you have sailed in RS or PH suites

It is probably a promo to get you to sail more.

We are Elite Plus  and we get emails that we are approaching Zenith.    We need another 1200 points to Zenith.  It will never happen at the rate we cruise, our age, plus the cost of cruising is  getting  beyond our comfort level.

With the always included perks we get the perks from the Elite Plus aren’t  that great.  They have added a few things that do look interesting but we haven’t cruised since they were added.    The laundry comes in handy for items that aren’t that expensive.  I have noticed that it ruins the elastic in my socks and underwear even though I ask for cold water wash.

Others may disagree but this is my experience and opinion.

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I have had a Latte at every dinner in the main dining room on Silhouette, Eclipse and Reflection. Also had them from the Passport Bar and the bar in/next to the Casino. Never had a request refused nor a charge made.

And also priority tendering.

If we are adding things to the posters original enquiry the matched bet at roulette is a great way to convert 10 dollars into 15 and you can do it 3 times. A tiny risk but it's never failed yet.

All I can say is I was on the Reflection in March and Apex in December, both times in Retreat Class, no less, although not with a drink package. We spoke to the Retreat hosts on both ships, and we spoke to the Maitre D' in Luminae on both ships, and the waitstaff in Luminae on both ships, and the consensus was the same with all employees on both ships, the Elite+ coffee benefit was not applicable in Luminae.

If the image you shared is a screenshot of your Captain's Club account, it looks like you're currently at the Select club tier, 74 points to Elite.

You'll currently get all of the benefits shown under Your Club Tier (Select), and you'll receive the Elite benefits once you get 74 more club points. I agree that it's a little confusing - I think they show the next tier as a marketing tactic to incentivize you to keep cruising with Celebrity.

Wow never knew I could get more in the MDR than in Luminae. Perhaps you should consider switching to a standard balcony and enjoy a free Latte or two. Also I thought last December and March all cabins came with AI or were you on a casino comped cruise?

Don't forget all the cruises that had been Lifted and Shifted several times due to Covid - no All Included when they were booked!!

The Elite cappuccino was served without question in the MDR on Summit

We currently travel almost exclusively on casino comps for all our cruises on all lines. The December Apex cruise was our first as Elite+. The one employee I didn't think of discussing this issue on either ship is the Crown and Anchor Ambassador(?). Our next Celebrity cruise will be on the Beyond in October. We'll be in AQ but with only one drink package from my husband's BCC status. If everyone is saying the coffee benefits should apply everywhere I'll be ecstatic about that and will inquire further.  But as I recounted it wasn't for the lack of inquiring and clarification about this new benefit(for us)and on two different ships, with multiple staff. Thanks for letting us know what the benefit should be.

Except on cruises like the Iceland cruises with 1400+ Elites priority tendering doesn't mean much.

The webpage outlines everything really well.

Yes it does. Glad to See priority tendering still a perk/benefit.  If you're talking itinerary specific cruises priority tendering works great for the Alaska, NE/Canada, Pacific Coastal and Caribbean cruises.

When did they add the Elite breakfast?  Granted, our last X cruise was a two night on Equinox in Jan. 2020 (S2S with Carnival Magic 8 night), before that it was 2013 in the Med on Silly.  No recollection of an elite breakfast…. EM

That benefit has been there for years and years. In the past it's been at the Tuscan Restaurant. Pre-pandemic it was a self-serve continental buffet, no hot food of any kind (And don't try to bring any hot food; once we did that and were admonished for carrying in hot oatmeal from the Spa Cafe). It included bread, pastries, fruit, cold cuts, pre-made smoothies, juices. A server would bring coffee, espresso based drinks, and tea. Now post pandemic it seems to be a served affair.
