Fall already--Holidays so soon

Less sun and the harvest moon

Will you weigh less by the holidays

Not that many Thursdays

Seems like fall and winter harder to lose

We just need the right food to choose

We can do it I know

Just have to learn the word--NO

HI all!

Belle ~ thanks for starting the thread & your wise words.

I'm down 1 lb since last week.

This day in 2 weeks I should be in Bruges if all goes well. I'll be gone from Oct 4 -29th, a long time away for me. Sure hope DH doesn't miss me too much or forget me!!

Have a nice weekend & stay safe..

~ Jo ~ 😊

Thanks for starting the thread Belle - I did start radiation yesterday and go again today.  It went smoothly so hope the rest do also.

Jo - congrats on losing 1# - that is great - are you sailing solo or have others that go too?  I had to look up Bruges, it looks like a wonderful place to explore.  Where else do you go?  Our next one is in December and I'm really looking forward to it!!!

Izena - Sounds like you are getting some steps in!  Being safe from squirrels is good - nice that Jazzper is taking care of you!

I didn't weigh today - perhaps tomorrow.  We had a great time getting away for a few days (we stayed in a great Inn - even got to stay in a turret room!).  Jan

Hi. I'm back. Tried really really hard to stay on track while cruising but obviously failed.

Jo, enjoy Bruges.  Good luck avoiding all those chocolate deals.

Jan, virtual hugs

Izena,  missed hearing about your surgery!! Good that you can walk Jazzper

Hi also Susan & Ginger.

Fell in love with a new city -- Southampton. Wild horses. So easy to get around. Left before HRM passed away but was able to watch it onboard. So sad. Hope that family rift can heal

Feel in love all over again with tea time. Just tea, veggie sandwiches, scones / cream / marmalade. The ship brings enough for 4 even though I'm a solo. Hence my skirt problem. I have no willpower. This is June after I declined accepting 3/4 but July, August, & September had just as much food. And it's just an afternoon 'snack'1021890670_Screenshot_20220630-164121_KeepNotes.thumb.jpg.35221f420e12b9309541a53f3f2c4924.jpg

Hello everyone. Hope everyone had a good day.

Almost fainted this morning, scale says lost 2 lbs. Hope not a mistake, I'll

take it and enjoy it.  Got my hair cut today, did errands. Leave on Tuesday.

Jan thought you were starting on the 21st. Hope they all go smoothly. I forgot

you were going away and staying in a castle. Glad you liked it.

Izena glad Jazzper kept the squirrels away from you. Hope your healing fast

and feeling good.

Jo sounds like a good cruise. Husband doesn't want to go or working? Sure he

will miss being gone 25 days.

Ombud welcome back, Glad you like your cruise and ports. Aren't the teas great?

One thing you said everyone's name except mind!🙁

Susan and Ginger hope to you in here soon.

This weekend----

Smile and someone will smile back even if wearing a mask. You can tell in the eyes!

Make it a happy day. for you and them.

I miss it when no one is talking. Like to see if everyone is doing alright.

Warming up here again but not as hot as before. Cool at night.

Trying to see what I want to pack for only 12-day cruise, need less but know I

will take to much. Talked to my son on a cruise to Hawaii. Been having warm weather

but raining today in Hilo.

Foodwise doing alright so far. Had a big salad and tea.

Hope to hear from you all.

All I see is a Green B------Me---Where is everyone?

Was doing good today but think I ate to much dinner.

To many carbs. Maybe take a day or two before I weigh again, I think.

How was your eating today? (Friday)  Are you starting Sat. off with

No breakfast, small or a large one?  Do you usually eat breakfast?

Some people don't but on weekends they fix big ones.

Enjoy your weekend, hope to "see" you.

Jan how are you doing after your first week of treatments?

Belle, I am eating breakfast - I do every day and most days it is raisin bran crunch - the dog seems to get some of it (no raisins).

I have had 3 treatments - no problems (so far).  Everyone is wonderful and very professional.  My DH has been taking me to my visits when I really like, I do believe that soon I will we going by myself.  I now only have 30 treatments left.  Jan

Hi all!

Belle ~ great loss! DH doesn't want to travel any more so solo I go, & enjoy. It's just that this is the longest I'll be away from home/him. It's a way more than my usual 14 or so days.

I never miss breakfast which is usually Puffed Wheat & mixed frozen berries or raspberries & OJ or toast & jam. I tend to have bigger ones on cruises.😉

Ombud ~ I'll try to resist the chocolate in Bruges. Both my cruises depart from Southampton so I'm wondering what did you like about it please? I'm thinking I may visiting a Titanic display. I may need to get a Covid test before boarding Anthem.

What ship were you just on please?

Jan ~ glad your treatments are going well.

My 1st cruise leaves from Southampton & goes to Zeebrugge (Bruges), LeHavre, Le Verdon,

Bilbao, La Coruna, Oporto, St Peter Port then back to Southampton.

The Anthem cruise leaves from Southampton a day later, then stops at Ponta Delgada, Halifax, Boston then disembarks at Cape Liberty.

There are a lot of places on the 1st one I've never been but have been to all the TA ones a time or two.

Have a nice weekend & stay safe.

~ Jo ~ 😊

Good Afternoon

Jan--Glad everything is going good so far and continues to. Hope the time goes

by fast for you. Then your cruise will be just around the corner.

I use to be a breakfast eater not anymore. Like it for dinner once in a while.

I find now if I eat breakfast, I want more food during the day. Tea is enough.

On a cruise I might eat breakfast once in a while but not at home.

Jo--Sorry husband doesn't want to travel anymore. Good for you going solo

and not staying home with him. Solo is nice--do what you want--no schedule.

Your cruise ports sound interesting. I really like TAs haven't been on one since

'Covid. Don't know if will take another one.  Do have a Europe b2b booked for next year.

Hate the thought of the long plane ride.

You're a breakfast eater too. Never was a big breakfast eater so easy to give up.

Where's Susan and Ginger this week?

Ombud hope you're doing alright. That tea looks so good. Can you believe that my

last cruises never had the tea once, usually ate a late lunch and never hungry at

that time, plus only doing on sea days, less days for a chance. Going to do it this

time at least once.

Wishing everyone a nice Sunday.

Oops!! Sorry Belle 😳 claim those 2 lbs!! And enjoy the next cruise. Where are you going??

I skipped lunch when I had tea. Otherwise I'd have more than 1.5" to lose

Jan, hope your treatments go easy on you. Staying in a castle? So exciting!

Jo, I was on the Enchanted Princess.  Loved how easy it was to get around old Town in Southampton. Here's tea in a medieval garden:20220901_123147.thumb.jpg.85e15df196f200c702ff889fdc3db904.jpg

I was good & only had 1 scone. Picture doesn't do the garden justice. Strange thing about St Peter Port is that no matter what you have to walk to the castle. Then the person who does the tour does it for ppl who pay him & ppl who pay the ship. I just paid them.

Susan,  cruising??

Did I miss a post by Izena & Ginger?

Ombud was just teasing, I know you think of me all the time.😊

Just a 12-day Mexico, balcony and PP. Couldn't pass it up. Slot Tournament.

How did you like the Enchanted? Was suppose to go on her last year, they cancelled.

Have Enchanted book for next June for Europe. So, like to know your thoughts.

The tea and Garden look nice. Glad you enjoyed.

Hope everyone has a good start to the week Monday.

So quiet in here again. Leaving tomorrow will miss two weigh-ins.

Hope your all here when I come back. I do have internet I can check in

from time to time.

Izena will you be able to start weigh-in the next two Thursdays.

You do such a good job.

I know this is a weigh-in board but we use to talk during the week. Miss that.

Also know there's less people and we have other things going on and things to do.

I know when on cruises hard to check in most times but when home wish we

would talk more.

I haven't gained this week and keep going between staying the same and

losing a pound. Nice to start a cruise that way now not to gain.

Sometimes can gain more on shorter cruises then longer ones. Big ship

to walk on. So should get exercise.

I'll check back tonight in case someone talks. Take care all.

Hi all!

Belle ~ have a great cruise & stay safe. I liked the 1 Mexican Riviera cruise I did on Celebrity from San Diego in 2006. You're lucky to be able to cruise so much & with no flights.

One week from tomorrow I'll fly to London, getting excited!

Have a great week peeps & stay safe.

Love hearing about everyone's cruises - I keep getting free offers from RCL, some sound wonderful, but right now the pricing for flights are way too high.

Jo - hopefully I will talk with you before your London cruise adventure, but if I don't I would love to hear about it when you get back - hope you have a wonderful time.

Belle - two weeks away - how wonderful - would love to hear about your cruise too.

Izena - Hope you are doing well!!!

Ombud - I haven't done a tea on board a ship - I am going to check into it.

Today was day 4 of radiation - only 29 more to go!!!  So far everything is going well and I'm hoping the rest go the same!

My December cruise had a port change (hate when they do that) - Turks & Caicos changed to St John's Antigua - am a little disappointed as have been to Antigua many times (It is nice), but I had never been to T & C --- oh well ... at least I have a cruise to look forward to in the future.  Jan

Jo Thanks. I love to cruise and be on the sea. I've been to Mexico Riv.

many times, might not even get off. Just love to cruise! They offer I take.

(If I can)

I'd be excited to Jo if going to London in a week and cruising! Have a great time, know you will.

Jan Glad your treatments are going well. They will be over soon and then your cruise.

I know hate it when we miss a port we really wanted to go to. As you say, at least you have

a cruise to look forward to. I love it.

Everyone take care, I will try to come in here once or twice from cruise.

Hi all!

Jan ~ I'll let you know how it goes with the cruises. Hope all goes well with all your treatments.

Too bad about the port change but what can you do?!

Izena ~ a Galapagos cruise will be quite an experience! I had my 75th in December so part of the reason I'm taking this longer holiday.

Have a nice day & stay safe.

Hi Everyone!

Crazy times.  Our cruise outran Fiona.  Jan we were at Grand Turk and the next couple of days later the dock was destroyed.  Glad we did not have anything booked with Ian hitting.  My DH got Covid on our cruise.  I wore masks in casino due to cigarette smoke. I am testing negative.  He is doing ok due to vaccines and boosters.  Belle I did hit a Royal Flush in 3 card for $5 grand!  Not bad on a comped cruise.

Grandbaby had ear tubes placed and doing ok.  Will see them again at Halloween.

On the way home our engine blew in our car.  I called the local small town Ford dealer and they sent a truck with a car for us to drive and picked ours up.  He drove 2 hours to come get us and 2 hours back.  Gotta love small towns.  Thankfully we have the extended insurance and will pay for a new engine.  Just had to wait in the heat for his arrival.

Had a health scare and had to have a breast biopsy.  Thank God it was a benign cyst.  Jan my heart goes out to you for being so strong.

When we got back I had gained 2 pounds.  Next cruise is November 3.  Nutrisystem here we go again.  Later...Susan
