We're thinking that with the limited capacity of the Beach Club, it won't seem as crowded as the rest of the island.

The Beach Club itself was sold out when we went before (as reported by another couple we met later that week who tried to book when they came onboard) and it was very comfortable for us.

Ok. Thanks. I was thinking you meant that something at the Beach Club itself would be improved.

Yes, I've read reviews about Coco Cay now that more people are sailing. Sounds like people are spread out over the island so it's not overly crowded now.  I'm glad that they have so many different spaces and options for people.

Thx

Not sure why you BOLDY need to be so negative.

What change?

Not being negative, just reading between the lines. Charging for an extra Lobster Tail in the MDR, so don't you think  when getting extra Lobster in Coco Cay, they will soon be charging extra there too?

Wasn't I who decided to charge extra for another Lobster Tails.

The food in the overwater cabanas is the same food that is at the Bech club? The lobster and filet?

Yes, you get a cabana attendant who will bring you food from the Beach Club. Our attendant last May also brought us food from the snack shack b/c we love the chicken sandwiches and funnel cake.

I don’t read into non issues or assume the unknown.

If entry is $88.99 and they then  change price of entry to $120

they have covered cost of extra lobster without anyone even knowing about it😉

YMMV

What do you do if you never see the $89 price again, then you see the $120 price, plus the $16.99 for the extra Lobster?

I mean do you have a breaking point or do you just accept it no matter what they do? Like whatever they do is okay?

We love quiet beach days with a good view and nice food, and really liked it!  I am an early riser, and always try to get the “perfect” spot, so we were some of the first people to get off the ship, to ensure a front row seat 🙂

Same here...as Momma used to say, "Day's a wastin!"  We are crack of dawn types.  DO NOT like wasting daylight!  Sleep is for the weak!  We usually get to bed by 9 and get up around 5:30 every morning, even on the weekends.

As for Coco Cay, we loved her when she was a sleepy little island with nothing but sand and sea grass, and even more now, always one of my favorites!  Can't wait to get there Dec. 11th!

Okay so I succumbed to the Black Friday sales hype and found the Day pass for $88 plus tax.  Anyone who has been there is it worth it?  It still seems like a lot of money for a beach chair and lunch.  Already having second thoughts😇

It is not worth the money.

We've been to CocoCay 5 times since the restart. And, full disclosure, we went to the Coco Beach club while recovering from knee surgery (our excuse) to be able to take a cart from the ship to the club with a very short walk to the beach/loungers and food.

Towels a tiny bit nicer. Loungers about the same. Side tables at loungers exactly the same.  Food better (lobster if you want),,, but to me, CocoCay is a beach day. and there are plenty of loungers and food for free on a beach day.

When we were at Chill Island beach last week, I would say 80% of the beach lounge chairs were empty.  It was my first time at Coco cay, so I didn't know what to expect.

I almost pulled the trigger again this morning on the $98 sale but it's awfully hard to pay double what you got it for last year! So elected not to.  We loved the experience, but really $98 for just a Fried lobster sandwich, smaller private pool and a sea view...not so much.  We will opt for the chicken sandwich and the Oasis Lagoon.

More then a great meal.  Very comfortable seating- wait service.  No crowds or kids running around.  IMO so many shore X's are crowded and not worth the charge- people spend money in casino-  so do what you like.  Worth it to many.  It's your vacation.

I would have never booked at the full price for our 2/4/23 Anthem cruise...but I couldn't pass up the Black Friday deal yesterday for the Beach Club for $78.99 pp. (50% off). It looks absolutely gorgeous, and the upscale menu was a great selling point for us at that price point. It's going to be our first time there, and we are looking forward to it!

PS There are a good number of YouTube videos with detailed walk-throughs, should anyone wish to check them out.

Very helpful. Thank you.

Was there 1 or 2 ships there that day? When we are there in a few weeks, 2 ships will be there that day. So, trying to put your experience in context of 1 ship or 2 ships. Thanks

How does the beach area compare to the other beaches?

Also, do people usually spend the entire day there since you paid the upcharge OR do you usually hang out in other areas on that same day as well?

Beach is beautiful, clean and less people then the other beaches.

There were two for sure (RCI Oasis & Celebrity Edge) docked right across the pier from each other.

I just checked the price for my two-weeks-from-now cruise:  It's $88/person.  Add the mandatory tax, and you're in the $90s.  Multiply it by two people, and that's $200 for a beach day.

Honestly -- and I know my "worth it" meter is set lower than most people's -- I'd feel pretty extravagant if I paid $50/person for this.

Without paying anything extra, we will have a great beach day, and I'm pretty excited about the no-cost meal options.  I absolutely love Mexican food.  I think I could use the not-quite $200 better.

For our B2B next June, we will explore everything during the first week's stop and assess (as best we can) the value of the Beach Club which we have booked for the 2nd week ($136 pp w/ tax included). It's possible we might want the exclusivity of the Beach Club based upon that first visit. If not, we will cancel the booking.

Apples to oranges. The lobster being trialed in the MDR is a Maine lobster.  The lobster tails on Coco Cay are currently the smaller Bahamian lobster. There is a big difference between the size of the two tails. Only time will tell if they will switch out the lobster on Coco Cay if and when they change the menus.
