Is the 340 solo discount combinable with most promotions, and TA group pricing, refundable deposits or are there restrictions as to when it can be applied other than certain time restrictions?

The 9 in my signature are group prices with the solo discount applied and all refundable deposits u til final is paid.

There is a popup for $50 for new bookings, I asked my ta about today and he said the $50 off isnt combinable with the dp340, only one discount code can be used per booking. I was surprised the code for solo worked last minute. For a Jan 30th cruise. I had been previously booked on that cruise but cancelled and moved it to march 27. I got the pts for 340 in sept, and group bookings lost their hold on cabins and I was told couldnt apply it to that date .. lol and today it worked. For less money. Lost the group obc but got a much better price ... and get to do it again march 27.

Anyway, i have 9 that match your criteria I'm booked on.

Just be aware it isn't offered in July, August or holiday dates.

However if you book early you can often get reduced single supplement fares during blackout dates that are available to everyone making DP340 inconsequential.

In other words sometimes you don't need DP340 so if using the website check pricing without it.

Your TA is not entirely correct.  I use DP340 for all my bookings.  I've found it can be combined with many of the other promos at the time of booking, I have received the $$ off promo, and the obc promo, too.  If it cannot be combined, it will not show in the pricing details.  ALWAYS, ALWAYS use it when booking, and tell your TA to let the booking system make the decision about it's validity.

Not available for the months of July and August.  Although one time it did go through on my completed August Allure sail.

The only times that I have problems with getting other discounts is when I book on board.  Royal Agent is only allowed 1 promo by their system, in my case DP340, but could not enter the Casino Royale $ off promo and the on board OBC.  Have to call Casino desk to accomplish the transactions.

Sorry if he said the $50 wasnt combinable I'll take his word. I know I often get group obc as well, but not this time. It's very last minute and surprised the dp340 worked. He is very good and would know what the best pricing is. When I mock booked, in that line for the code I can only put one in at a time too and the dp340 was the best. Better than $50 off. This was the pop up promo code, not part of the sale. Put in your name to get sales and they emailed the code. I resigned up yesterday.

I am sure my TA JS correct ..cannot put in 2 PROMO CODES. .. yes its combinable with other specials. Only one promo code can be used at a time.

That's interesting.  I don't gamble much, but I wonder if that applies to other discounts as well.  Makes the booking on board not so attractive.  The last time I did, there was no conflict.  I always check out the the price and pick my cabin before I go see NextCruise on board a ship, and the prices have matched.

I always ignore this pop-up, but maybe I shouldn't.  Every so often the DP340 is not allowed, and I could at least get the $50 in that case if the pop-up "popped".

Agree. About 2/3 Cruises I Booked last 2yrs offered Military Dis with 340+, also had about 25% resent sailings also included OBC. Once in while have found cheaper to Book 2 passenger and my 2nd being a phantom/no show then Solo 340+. So even though it's rare I always check pricing both ways.

Same here and even with all of my research, I booked 4 cabins on board, and it still took me some 45 minutes to complete the transactions.  I don't understand why the agents can't access the needed personal information by accessing the individual C&A #.  Then I find out that only 3 transactions of this nature are allowed on board and had to get her supervisor to ok the 4th.  Strange.

By the way the on board booking OBC is a great deal especially that only a $100 deposit pp is required..

Also, since I'm a shareholder, applied and receive a shareholder's OBC of $100.

Yes, Royal Agents missing lot now,  I even had same PVP for several yrs, miss both of these. Holland couple times in last few months offered special OBC free Gratuities, free upgrades and only $25 down. Traveling SOLO having a 18n Hawaii Balcony, a 15n Panama Canal Cruise in a Suite and both Corner Cabins(my Fav). This all for $50 total holding these sailings next yr. Will be my first on this Line. Wish Royal offered specials like this...

HAL has more creative itineraries, and it's a much quieter and sedate experience.  They have one of my favorites:  the Sea of Cortez up the inside of the Baja Peninsula in Mexico.

If you book a solo occupancy stateroom using the DP340 code and paying 150%,  you only receive one point per night sailing in a balcony stateroom towards Crown and Anchor status, correct?

You can't use DP340 on studio cabins.  They are already adjusted for solo.

To answer your question studio cabins receive only one point per night.  Also be aware that booking a GTY as a solo on a ship with studio cabins may result in being assigned a studio cabin and in that GTY scenario you only receive one point per night.

A solo in a double occupancy cabin nets you an extra point per night when booked as a solo.

This is not correct. You still get the same pts if you cruise in a cabin that holds 2 or more.

Only if you are in a solo cabin, then you only get 1 pt. Using the code for the lesser supplement doesnt affect your loyalty pts.

Thank you!!  I just sailed solo in a balcony cabin last week for 5 nights (disembarked on 5/11) using the dp340 code and my account only shows 5 points given.  Looks like a call to Crown and Anchor is needed.

Yes unless by some chance it was originally booked for 2 and 1 no showed, then sometimes there is a issue, but shouldn't be if you booked solo and cruised solo. Good luck.

Problem solved and an extra five points have been added to my Crown and Anchor account.  I had used a Next Cruise which initially had two names on the reservation.  When I booked my solo cabin using the DP340 code under my Next Cruise reservation, I eliminated guest two, however, the system still saw guest number two even though the guest was removed way way before final payment was made and never sailed.  I'll have to watch my other cruises as I know I have a few more like these out there.  Thanks again for your assistance!

That's what I guessed. 2 cant be booked and get the extra point. They are getting tough on this. Even if they were removed before final payment is no guarantee you will get the extra point. Dont book 2 from the beginning if you want the extra point. I've read of others who had this issue ..

As long as it is changed to one before final you will get the extra point and I'm pretty sure you can do it before final however I don' have any direct experience with that.

They couldn’t have booked DP340 if there were two people on reservation.

Correct.  Next Cruise Book Later reservation (Open Booking) had two names originally listed with the needed $200 deposit made onboard.  When the reservation was switched to an actual ship and sail date, passenger two was removed and the DP340 code was used with just my name as a solo guest listed at the time the ship and sail date was selected.  No other person was ever on the reservation from that point forward.
