If one were to go on a cruise that starts March 31, would points earned on the whole cruise count for March or April for status, or would the First day’s points count for this year and the rest count for next year?

Points earned in April are next year. Unless you are trying to tier-up for the next year, stay in the bar on the first night.

If he waits until april 1 to get 2500 points, will he get an annual cruise in 2023 or will he have to wait until 2024.  I know as soon as you make prime, you can get a sticker for the free drinks in casino, so that doesn't really matter.

He will have to wait until 2024. If you play March 31 2023, you are earning status/points for 2023, when you play starting on April 1st 2023, you are earning status/points for 2024.

I earned Prime in Sept 2022 and my annual cruise comp will be available to me in April 2023 🙂

On a related note- how do we go about “cashing in” the points for OBC?  This is the first time we will have enough points to worry about this… I’ll be hosting slot pulls on our B2B, and will be accruing more points than what we feel comfortable gambling away..

Not sure which points you are referring.  Tier points do not convert.  You accumulate them during the physical period and reset to 0 each year.  These tier points, assume you are at least prime, earn you a free cruise and other benefits.  Then there are credits that you earn while you cruise and those you can convert at the slot into cash to play.  As other have said must be used by the last night of the cruise otherwise they expire.

Ps.  Did not want to get into specifics, but you also earn, based on play, instant rewards cruise certificate towards a booked cruise.  These certificates are good for 30 days.  This applies to gold tier and up.

You cash out your credits with the card in the machine.  It will tell you how much you have.  Don't forget to do it by the last night or you will lose it.  The cash does not transfer to the next cruise on a B2B.

Thanks so much!  I will make sure to cash out before our first sailing ends!!!

I should have said credits , not points 🙂

So a new question fort the casino experts...

At what point levels do you receive any benefits.

On my last cruise I accrued 360 points. Not many by many peoples standards but apparently enough for the Casino host to offer me a free interior on a selection of cruises leaving over the next few months.  I don't have anymore time left in my schedule for more cruises in 2023.  The certificate also offered $250 off any other cruise I wanted to book for the next year.  Sadly Ive got three on the books for 2023 and that is all the time I can squeeze out so it is basically useless to me.

Over the course of the next three cruises I will probably accrue a few more points but I am unlikely to ever hit 2500 points that seem to be the target for the good stuff.  Are there other benefits besides what I have observed that I can achieve as that 360 points increases over the next 3 cruises this year. Say as an example... On Oasis of the seas in March lets assume that I get another 360 points giving me a total of 720 points.  What could I expect to be offered at the end of the cruise.  Would it be the same as the last cruise since I earned 360 or would they take into account the original 360 and offer me something better.  Also, are there other benefits that I might not be aware of that I could take advantage of.

You MAY be able to use the $250 cash value.  I have applied my cash value to already booked cruises in the past.  YMMV because Club Royale seems to be changing their rules lately.  I believe the days of great offers for low points is disappearing.  With ships sailing full, they don't need casino players as much.  You really do need to reach 2500 points between April 1st and March 31st to get the good stuff (your free interior for a 7 day and free drinks in the casino).

I tried this over and over again for several clients in December and January and the only way to get it applied was to reprice the reservation to current rates.

If the cruise STARTS before April 1st, then the whole cruise goes towards this years points. They do NOT split the days into 2 separate years.

That's sad. I got an upcoming cruise in March/April where most of the cruise is in March. This means that most of my point will contribute to March 31, not the new year.

As this is my first cruise, I will not likely hit 2500 for Prime. The only goal for me now is the 1200pt int room?

Btw, do the slots only accept USD? I'm from Aus.

That is not what casino host has told us in the past.   We usually cruise last week of March for hubby's birthday.  While onboard past cruises, We have been told all points earned up thru midnight of March 31st go towards current year then they reset and all points earned April 1st go towards 2024.

We are hoping that is still the rule since we have a night cruise booked for March 26th.
