Adventure Coming To Canaveral-Need Feedback

Recommended Posts

Great ship, led or kick started the whole "amplification" thing before it was called that.  As such it isn't officially amplified but is 90% of the way there.

Cove style balconies common on this class except for Mariner and Navigator.

Izumi is unique where it sits on the Promenade.

I don't like the casino, it's very tight and difficult to get around it. It's also very smokey inside and the filtration system doesn't do s good job of cleaning the air.

Casinos on all Royal ships are ashtrays.

Never been on it either. Just going by its list of venues, my only complaint/wish iss that it had another free or low cost dining venue like Playmakers or El Loco Fresh.

This is of course based on personal preference coming  from someone who hasn't been an MDR fan for many years and doesn't do a lot of specialty dining. That was my only complaint when I was on Indy before they made some of the Fish N Ships items free. I'm a WJ fan but still like those options.

I’ve been on it 3 times within the last year. It’s a nice ship and just my size for a comfortable cruise. The only thing I don’t like is the balconies that have steel walls instead of glass which make me feel confined and claustrophobic.
Tornado Tonya is a good CD and the orchestra is great.

I have not been aboard in a few years but have done several cruises on Adventure out of San Juan as well as Ft. Lauderdale. She is a typical Voyager class ship and we have never had a poor experience on her.

I would just comment that if you are big on entertainment don't expect anything close to Oasis class shows. The last time I was aboard it was still the same old tired RC Singers and Dancers shows that have been running since pretty much forever. As mentioned above, cruise fare included dining choices are somewhat limited but I have not found that to be a problem for me. I'm a WJ person.

I have great memories from time spent aboard.

That's why they don't get my money.  I just can't sit in that stench.  If I walk through the casino, I hold my breath and walk fast.

My family LOVES Playmakers and Fish N' Ships.

We haven't been on a ship with El Loco Fresh yet, but we love Mexican food and expect to become fans quickly when we sail Wonder.

My wife and I sailed on her in Feb 2023. Had a great time. Chops was outstanding for Valentine's dinner. Overall all the food was good.

Service was fine, balcony room could use a little update.

Would be glad to sail on her again.

you can gauge the age of a casino by how much this doesn't apply. Newer Vegas casinos have much better filtration systems than older ones.  Think El Cortez vs Circa/Resorts World. Aria was the first one I noticed that truly seemed to be better about that.

We are booked on an 8 night Southern Caribbean August 24 in a JS. We have been on Mariner several times and the way the OV balconies are designed on Adventure does look different. Like peering out a cave.  I've read good things about the ship and love Voyager class.

We're booked on AD for a  6/8/6 b2b2b starting Mar 15 2025 out of PC.  We've never been on her, but have been on EX 4 times when she was in NJ years ago and we loved EX.

The worst/best we have seen (depending on whether you are inside the casino or outside) is on Wonder. They have automatic doors at the entrances to the casino that open as you approach the casino and then close behind you as soon as you enter. While that helps contain the smoke to inside of the casino and makes it a lot less noticeable outside, it does make the smell inside a bit unbearable.

Thanks in advance……

Adventure had the best crew on any ship I’ve ever been on…tho it was just before the pandemic. They made our trip spectacular.

We currently have 16 cruises booked on Adventure through April 2025, including a B4B for the entire month of July 2024 - love the ship😇

Only 16? Surely you would have booked more if you really liked it THAT much. 🤣

Well.  No filtration is perfect, but yes any with a newer system will be better off.  The advantage of the Vegas casinos is also size.  You can have large no smoking sections.  But on ships, they are all pretty bad.  My comment was really related to cruise ships.  It’s not like Royal is an ashtray while the others (that allow smoking aren’t).  It’s a fact of life in ship casinos that allow smoking.

By the way, Aria isn’t so new anymore.  I seem to recall playing there well over 10 years ago.  I doubt there is much of a difference in smoke smell between that and Bellagio which is much older.  Aria also pipes in some type of nice smell.  That probably disguises some of it.

We originally had 18 booked, but we swapped two in December for a 28-day Panama Canal B2B transit from Miami to La and back to Miami on Serenade😇
