I think there is a $21 surcharge for the lobster. It isn’t the MDR lobster, it is 1 1/2 lb Maine lobster. I could be wrong though.

I only had the UDP once, and never ate in the MDR because of it.

Nope.  I was told it didn't.  

 

But then again I went to chops since I had the UDP.

On Odyssey a couple weeks ago I was told that the UDP did include the MDR/Chops filet.  I didn't ask about the lobster.

 

As it turned out we never went to the DR during the crossing so I never had the chance to confirm, but I do trust the person that gave me the info.

Maybe they allow the filet but still surcharge for the lobster....that would make perfect sense. 🤣

This would be very good know in case you can't get a reservation in one of the specialities when you want or want to dine with someone that does not have UDP.

 

Maybe someone doing a live review can confirm.

We specifically asked for Wonder on March 2023 and  were  told NO. Don’t think we would have given up a speciality dinner even if it was allowed.

We love the UDP.  Note sometimes only a limited amount of this package is available per cruise- if you want it book it.  You can always cancel.  Since we do not eat in MDR not sure about lobster issue.  But why eat in MDR if you have access to Specialty dining restaurants?

Why would you even go to the MDR if you have the UDP?  I'm pretty sure, but could be wrong, that the UPD does not cover "upcharge" items so this would not be covered.  

 

I have the package on upcoming cruise and do not plan to step foot in the MDR.
