Vaping in Casino on Equinox

My mother never smoked but years ago when she went with my dad to a fancy event  or something like she would light up one of his cigarettes and put it in her mouth. She never inhaled from it. It was supposed to be chic I guess.

There are some which were listed on an earlier post including Holland America.

However there are other considerations for example: we switched to Princess when X introduced compolsary AI then back to X when compolsary AI was dropped. Princess currently allows smoking/vaping in the casino and is cheaper than X. As we won't gamble in any casino that allows smoking/vaping if X continues with this policy it will encourage us to look again at Princess.

Personally I wish X would spend it's time promoting the fact that all its inside spaces are vape and smoke free thereby encouraging more passengers to move from other lines. 

I note that ships sailing from the UK (and Australia?) will still face a ban on indoor vaping and hopefully other countries will follow suit.

Make sure you skip the main showroom, if vaping aggravates your asthma. The atmospheric effects that make the lights and lasers look good are based on propylene glycol, the main liquid in vapes.

But when you look at that diagram, you can assume they would also allow 'vaping' at the table games. Hence, the "port side' even if they technically follow it still covers about 70% of the casino floor - and obviously the smoke will cover all the tables, leaving really only about 25% of the casino in floor space. 

 

It seems more like an excuse they're trying to downplay with, rather than having any actual significance to that 'rule'.

that was my thought too. There is no enclosed area so basically it’s everywhere in the casino (and who is to say they will stop there because there is nothing stopping people walking out of the casino while vaping)

This text has been in the FAQ's since word of vaping testing surfaced.   To my knowledge there is no list of itineraries where it is allowed.  They should indicate on the booking site which itineraries are affected.

Perhaps when sales in the stores start to go down because of the wafting of the folks vaping then maybe Celebrity will toss this idea aside.  I am too sensitive to abrasive odours to even venture near the cosmetics so this will save me money in the stores.

On the Equinox now and have not noticed any vaping in the casino. The signs were on, I think, every other table game on the port side. Didn’t check the other side of the tables. I did smell cigarette smoke when trying to enjoy my aft balcony. 😞

Same here, we are trying Azamara again in October, no casino but no smoking / vaping anywhere inside. To me the new CEO is destroying the brand by 1000 cuts.

If you have a moment would you please check the Roulette tables which, if X is being honest, should be non vaping as they are all on the Starboard side.

Has there been any announcement giving details about this "vaping test"  or of how passengers can register their comments (for or against) about it?

So, the vaping signs are back on Equinox? I know they were taken down a few weeks ago when Georgia Peaches was on board.  If the signs encouraging vaping are back, I think that pretty well nails it that X is going ahead with this plan, despite all the complaints the executive office has received.
