Royal caribbean was thinking of charging for pizza.  They sent out a questionnaire asking if guests would still eat pizza if they had to pay. Well you know what the answer to that was!  Heck No.  So they didn't do it....yet!

Someone just posted on other social media site that cookies at Gelato counter on Equinox cost $2 plus 20% gratuity. Don’t know if this true but pic says so.

Don't you just love choices:

Choice1

Warm, hand crafted cookies $2 plus service

Or

Walk the length of Al Bacio for a cold, free cookie.

Choice 2:

Gelato @ $ various

Or

Pop up to the Buffet for free ice-cream with sprinkles (I prefer this option)

Choice 3

Buy a Latte at Al Bacio

Or

Pop up to the buffet or the Hideaway for a free self service coffee.

Honestly on my recent cruise the gelato station was non existent for gelato. Al bacio was so busy they set up the gelato station for coffee drinks.  There were no cookies there.

The cookies I did see at Al bacio were not as good as usual.

but then again, I’m not a cookie expert

cheers

Agree! I wouldn’t buy one just for the principle of them charging for a cookie. Ridiculous. Talking about nickel and dimeing.

Really starting to regret that I booked the Equinox for October before I knew it was a test ship for vaping other additional charges, cutbacks and the terrible new MDR menu.  I saw Irish stew and liver and onions before as menu o[tions that I think thankfully are gone.

Seriously thinking about cancelling our 10-day cruise on Silly in January even though we got a great price by booking in advance.  We will definitely be checking other options before final payment in October..

Now charging for cookies!!!  Will free ice cream and toppings in the buffet be next??

The final straw for DH will be if they take away creme brulee from the MDR.

We got off the equinox four days ago. Had plenty of gelato. Never saw these. We had plenty of cookies at Café Al  Bacio for free.
