Found Something Scary on Cruise Critic’s Princess Boards !!!(Sept 2023)

OP here- I didn’t say I was on the ship- but expecting to travel Spring 24.

I am Reina not Rex del Mar and I am female with pronouns she/ her!!

I have quoted from a current Cruise Critic post in the Princess section. Someone asked for information about a specific cabin and the quoted comment was one of the replies !

Whether this is considered a reliable source I don’t know but was posted yesterday and still available for viewing online.

Interestingly that person has only made two posts on Cruise Critic - the one you quoted and a reply to someone who commented on that thread.

Even more strange, the post now seems to have disappeared into the ether !!!

I took a screenshot, so know I did not imagine it and have name of poster.

It's still there, on the first page.

The poster joined Cruise Critic in 2017 but has not ever posted anything else.

I'm fairly certain we would have heard of any issues like that from our trusty regulars who are currently on Coral. And I would expect someone complaining about that on a forum like this to provide more specific details - deck, location etc. Something smells but it's more of a fishy smell!

I have an idea the OP is a 'she' but it might be a 'they'. 😁

I wonder is the mariners in olden times referred to their ships as 'she' because they were at sea without any females in sight. This could start a whole new conversation. 🤣

Not that I would question the source of the original comment as we haven't been a board for a bit, but if everywhere I went on the ship had a sewage smell, I would be inclined to check my underwear.

There is something magic about your favourite pair of shoes. They are just plain comfortable, even if they smell from time to time and need a good polish.

I found sewerage smells in some parts of the sisters (which is part of the reason I don't like them even in new incarnations at P&O) but not on Coral when I was on here last year. She was great.

I don't recall any bad smells last year either but, like you, had noticed them at odd times on the Sun class ships. Usually aft if my memory is correct.

I have donned my detective pork pie hat, strapped on ye olde shoulder holster and launched an investigation. I smell a rat.

Don't forget your gumshoes. Forget the pork pie, this may require a deer stalker.😉
