Rare Lady Arwen Posted October 2, 2023 #3 Share Posted October 2, 2023 My DH and I don’t eat meat, but we do eat fish and seafood - Pescatarians. There are many items listed that I would really enjoy, my DH not so much. Good for Princess! 6
voljeep Posted October 2, 2023 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2023 I am happy for those of you who follow this lifestyle. As long as it is 'in addition to' and not as a 'substitute for' regular mdr meats, fishes, potato, all is good. Fettuccini with walnut sauce would be the only thing I might consider.
Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted October 2, 2023 #5 Share Posted October 2, 2023 Some of those sound delicious so I look forward to trying them.
LidoLiz Posted October 2, 2023 #6 Share Posted October 2, 2023 Hopefully we will get some reviews of the new vegan menus soon. I don’t see where to sign up on the Personalizer, but there is a dietary preference button in the app.

This makes us so happy since our go-to vegan place, Sage, closed the closest location to us, and now we have to deal with Crossroads Kitchen. Thanks Princess for finally taking plant-based eating seriously.
capriccio Posted October 2, 2023 #8 Share Posted October 2, 2023 We love the idea of an expanded menu. We aren't vegetarians but we'd try (and no doubt enjoy) just about everything on the menu.
XBGuy Posted October 2, 2023 #9 Share Posted October 2, 2023 As a red meat eater, I could make a meal from the menu that was presented. Not all of the choices really seem appealing, but there is enough for for me to choose something from each category. Actually, I might be inclined to order all three of the soups.
Rare BamaVol Posted October 2, 2023 #10 Share Posted October 2, 2023 I’m not a vegan. But I must avoid dairy and will often choose vegan dishes because I can count on there being no dairy in them. I welcome this menu. I will try a dish or two on my next cruise.
Albinroo Posted October 2, 2023 #11 Share Posted October 2, 2023 I am so happy this will be added to the regular menu, instead of having to ask for plant-based specifically. I'm not 100% plant based bit it's nice to have the option.

Rare sunviking90 Posted October 2, 2023 #15 Share Posted October 2, 2023 This is great! It’s about time too. We are not vegan, but are also not huge meat eaters and try to base our meals around vegetables at home. It’s great to see more options than the usual traditional saucy meat and chicken dishes. Now I’d really like to see some Buddha bowl options at lunch too. The sad salads don’t really do it.
Steelers36 Posted October 2, 2023 #16 Share Posted October 2, 2023 I wonder if they will ever introduce organic foods and meats. Cood day in July I imagine.

I would love that too, but, you’re right, it will never happen, at least not on Princess. Eating vegan, if you stay away from processed vegan foods which are expensive and instead stick with whole foods, is significantly less expensive than eating meat and dairy. I don’t believe the new vegan menu will raise food costs at all and will likely lower them. Organic foods, of course, are a totally different story, particularly for meats.

MsSoCalCruiser Posted October 3, 2023 #20 Share Posted October 3, 2023 Thank you OP for sharing. I’m not Vegan but I have a dairy allergy so this is good news. I love sweets so what I would really love is some soft serve Vegan Dole Whip on the Lido and some Vegan desserts in the buffet, and at the IC. And while I’m dreaming, how about some plant based cheese for the pizza? 😂
AZjohn Posted October 3, 2023 #21 Share Posted October 3, 2023 Agree this is a great start for food-base dinners and I always respect the choices anyone makes with what they eat. I wish my tastebuds could get excited about these dishes but unfortunately, I seem to love eating dead animals and seafood for some reason even when I know it’s not good for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 1
joejoe 59 Posted October 3, 2023 #22 Share Posted October 3, 2023 The menu's look tasty. I wish they would put as much imagination into gluten free choices, after all being coeliac is not a choice where is eating vegan is.
Carnevale Posted October 3, 2023 #23 Share Posted October 3, 2023 Do we have to request this in advance? I am not vegan so I don’t want this menu all the time but as I don’t eat meat or poultry there are some good options here. Can I ask for this menu once in a while after I am seated in the MDR? It’s one of the best things I’ve eaten on Princess.
