Standard or Plus fare

$15 per person per day so $105 per person for a 7 night cruise.

Crew appreciation is $16 per person per day.

That means you pay $29 per person extra to have the extras of the Plus Fare  Package - beverages, casual dining, desserts, access to Ocean Now ordering, medallion shipping.

Drinks vary from $2 to $15 plus 18%

Regardless of who you cruise with you will pay for crew appreciation, WIFI and drinks. The Princess Plus covers crew appreciation and WIFI and then it just depends on how much you drink. If you like specialty coffees, soft drinks and some alcoholic drinks and that adds up to about 5 a day it's probably worth getting the Princess Plus package.

It takes two to three alcoholic beverages per person per day to break even with the plus fare. Depends on how many non alcoholic beverages, such as specialty coffees, you consume and what alcoholic beverages you prefer. The break even assumes that you do not have enough OBC to cover your onboard expenses or you are using OBC for other expenses such as excursions.

The plus fare also includes the $15 one time charge for ordering using the Ocean Now app, and ordering room service over the phone. Without the plus/premier fare you have to pay the one time Ocean Now fee and room service by phone incurs a $5 charge for each call.

The wifi cost is for one device.

Ocean Now allows you to order drinks and food using your phone, smart device or TV for delivery anywhere on the ship, including room service. Your medallion provides your location.

If you call room service from your cabin phone will you still be charged the $14.99 Ocean Now fee?

No if you use the phone to call room service you will pay $5 each time unless you have a package

When u purchase internet on a daily basis, the per day(24 hrs) rate is a little higher than if you purchase for the entire cruise. Non discounted rates are, meaning you do not get the Captains Circle discount , $15/day for full cruise, on a per day basis $20/day for 1 device active at a time.

Would this work as a work around?  Pay the Ocean Now fee $15 then use it to order food to your room for free, hence bypassing the room service fee?

No the Ocean Now is separate from calling room service

Yes, if you feel you will be using ‘room service’ often to justify the Ocean Now activation fee, then as long as you use Ocean Now to order food/items to your cabin/location, then you will not incur a ‘room service’ fee. The $5 room service fee is charged for each stateroom ‘Phone’ call for room service, unless you have Plus or Premier.

@memoakresponse above assumes you are still ‘calling’ using phone for room service.

Yes so if you ordered food or drinks to you more then three times you would be money ahead correct?  What food can you order from the Ocean Now?  Full room service menu?

Yes, you could order pretty much any room service item for delivery to your room using Ocean Now.

Princess must hate anyone without a smart phone, charging them $5 a hit for room service, don't know how this works with disability rights

Princess is catching up to most of the competition, the room service ‘fee’ is easily double and more on the competition. I do not understand why disability rights have anything to do with the room service fee, able bodied or disabled both are subject to same fee.

We’re Elite and wondering the cost of internet for two people.  I think there is something about using free minutes first before paying for internet package? Please advise.  Thinking of trying the standard fare due to not much drinking right now.

The free minutes for elite status passengers has been replaced by a 50% discount for unlimited WiFi.

Spot on both points.  It’s not a disability issue and at least double on Celebrity.
Plus, you can only order it over the phone there as they don’t have the medallion type app to have it delivered to you other than in your room.
