What do people think about having a 'Part 2' thread with the changeover to the Ultimate Asia Pacific expedition segment? Or keep everything in the one thread?

Thanks all for sharing your experiences during the Ultimate Americas segment!

Nice, I'll be onboard on that date as part of 4 minis. 😁

I'd like to see everything stay on this thread.

I'd love to see everything carry on in this thread.

I'm really enjoying following along, big thanks to all those onboard who have contributed so far. Hope those who are staying on and any others who board will continue to keep posting here.

I'm also following a couple of others on FB but I still love CC best😁.

Thanks...I hope so as well.  🙂

Can honestly say that following the WC helped us immensely last night at trivia on Adventure - all the questions were about ports or sights you have seen😇

Patricia, thank you for taking us along on your many adventures, both on the ship and off, as well as your starting this wonderful and informative thread.    It's been great!    Safe travels on Sunday!

Aww...thanks!  Definitely mixed feelings leaving on Sunday (all cruise ends for me are sad)...but will be good to get home, and good to see Wonder again.  😉

At the Captain's Corner talk this morning, Captain Stig said we've traveled 16,800 nautical miles as of yesterday.  He also said he's leaving tomorrow at Cabo San Lucas and our new captain will be boarding.  I didn't know until today that Captain Stig wasn't going to be going all the way to Los Angeles, but I guess that does make sense as lots will be happening in Los Angeles since it's the end of Segment 1 (and mini-leg #3), and the start of Segment 2 (and mini-leg #4).  I think Captain Stig did a wonderful job getting us through difficult seas in several places, and I'm looking forward to learning about the new captain. Captain Stig said he will re-join us on June 21st in Trieste, and he will continue from then and take us back to Miami.  😀

Thanks...did not know that either.  Did not got to he Captain's corner.  So we will see him again in Barcelona.  🙂

Have thoroughly enjoyed your review @island lady and everyone else’s input.  Have fun in Cabo and hope the seals are sitting on the pier to greet u.   We have enjoyed lunch at Cabo Wabo  when we visit .   Just finished huge storms in socal and 40 degrees and windy , but sun finally out after 7 days of rain .   Look forward to everyone continuing with their adventures

This is a good sign...pilot dropped off to us just now.   Still heading in.

Was treated to several Whale pods a mile or so off the port side during breakfast, and just now one fully breached out of the water right in front of the departing pilot boat.  Sooo cool!  Did not have phone in hand to take picture in time.

Looks like this is a win for tendering as we get closer.  One Carnival ship already tendered in.  About an hour ago we saw Navigator crossing into the horizon coming from ports further south.  Two Princess ships (of course 😉 )...also heading back north.  Probably playing the "Love Boat" theme as they left.  😄

Did not have to stand in line for tender tickets yesterday, due to suite's escort to tenders today.  Score perk! 😉

Current temperature 70 degrees...going up to around 74 later today.  A bit hazy, some clouds, but beautiful!  Pulling up near the Carnival ship on the other side right now...looking forward to going ashore.  🙂

Time to pack my little "port purse" and head up to the Concierge Lounge for escort.  We are using our own life boats for tendering into the marina.

So OK...interesting.  Looks like we are using our life boats AND the shore side tenders.  Cool!  🙂

Yours is probably transporting the captain ashore and picking up his replacement.

LOL...yup, probably!  Proper send off.  😄

He just made his "good-bye" speech.   Will miss him, but see him again soon when we get to Barcelona.

Just cleared by port authority, and first call to tender tickets #1 and #2 to proceed to gangway.  Bucky still working on getting ready.

We went to Cabo years ago (2007) on Dawn Princess.  We followed a hurricane that had just left the area.  Rocky ride on the ship's lifeboats and the humidity was horrendous.  We walked around and went to Cabo Wabo for lunch.  Got our bill in Pesos and at the time the dollar was very strong so the pesos added up quick. The police all had on bandolier's holding their ammo and were carrying large weapons in Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan.  Very different than what you see in Cozumel and Costa Maya. Haven't been back to the Mexican Riviera since.

Yes,when we were last there there was a fishing boat off loading right at the tender dock. Large pretty what looked like sail fish.  There was  police  like guys holding large machine guns watching them take the fish off the boats, probably there to make sure no illegal  drugs also didn't come off those same boats.

Jim just took this video of the ocean!  It’s so hard to capture it in a photo, but the video is pretty cool!  Despite the waves, and thanks to Capt. Stig, we are enjoying a pretty smooth ride!

Just catching up.  I don't remember ever seeing this before, thanks for posting.

Current position, coming into Cabo.  Seas are a tad rougher than predicted, with deck 12 and half of deck 5 closed this morning.  Sunrise off the aft end.

My favorite Royal ship! Was on it for 27 days in October-November and could have stayed on longer

I'm feeling pretty at home on this ship, too. There is enough to do and still have down time. I love the O class but I don't usually feel very relaxed by the time the cruise is over.
