Hi All we are on Odyssey in a JR suite (2 adults 2 kids) if there are reservations available all week we will put our name down.  Question is if one night my wife isn’t interested in going can I take my brother instead with me in her and kids place? Do they like scan your sea pass and know the faces of everyone in that cabin?

2nd question are you also limited to one lobster in CK the night they serve lobster?

thanks

1. No, they don't scan your seapass card...they ask your cabin number. You can politely ask the CK Host if your brother can join you...they will most likely accomodate you.

2. No limit to lobster at CK. We were just off the Symphony, and our CK staff asked if my wife wanted more lobster.

* Tip: If you like lobster, try the lobster salad. CK menu is available in the Royal Caribbean App.

* It may be difficult for you to get a reservation for the popular first night dinner...on the menu...filet mignon. Happy sailing!

I was in a JS on Odyssey in February this year and was not able to get a reservation in CK any night of the cruise. I realize every cruise is different, it just might be my bad luck. 😕

That is bad luck.  We were on the Anthem TA in a JS and had no issues getting reservations each night.

That is very unfortunate, we tend to cruise popular times and have got a reservation every night as long as we are totally flexible and can work around suite/pinnacle bookings. One night we can be the first in and the next the last table 😀 which makes it interesting.

Do pinnacle folks get priority over those in JR Suites?  Just found out the ship has 120 pinnacle vs 75 capacity in CK?

Top 30 P's will have access to CK.

* Don't know if P's have priority over JS.

I'm on harmony and I'd bet access is tight on this ship. Might depend on demand. We have 181 pinnacles, so only top 30 can even ask for ck seating. Though if you are a master level in the casino I heard that tops having pinnacle pts.

I would ask as soon as you board after my week on harmony.

I think a lot of people would like to know the magic formula who gets access. This who gets. ck access has been a sore point this week.

Imo suites should get first access. Even JS. Or like allure give people 1 night dinner and 1 lunch when we had 173 pinnacles. Give everyone some. This makes me feel like I'll never have access without a full suite.

Additional info:

Casino Masters also have access to CK...Masters have priority over P's.

No.  They are all first come first serve be it Pinnies or JS.  CK host simply fills in the reservations on her/his screen as each person visits the podium in person.

Pax in full suites get an email from the concierge about 5-6 days in advance.  That is when we reply back for requested reservations...which is far in advance of in person visit on embarkation day.

Yes I know, I thought the OP specifically asked about JS but I could be confused.

I was so missing my wifi I paid last night for the rest of the cruise. Hectic here.

I was actually replying and agreeing to your statement of suites guests should get first access.  🙂

The lobster tails are prepared differently in CK. When we were in CK on lobster night they served the CK lobster tails, and they also brought us lobster tails from the MDR so we could try it both ways and see which we liked better. This was before they started charging for extra lobster in the MDR.

We are Pinnacle and were in a JS on the Anthem TA with 109 Pinnacles.

When I asked about making CK ressies for the whole cruise I was initially told "No, you need to do it every day" but then the host said "you're in a JS so you can make them for the whole cruise".

We have never had any issues getting reservations on Anthem when we have stayed in a JS.  They have always given priority to JS.  We have experienced the opposite on Oasis class, which is why we only book full suites on Oasis class.

I believe this helps the staff figure out how many guests they can accommodate each night.  I am on a 6 night symphony cruise starting Sunday and let the concierge know the dates and times I requested a reservation.

I have stayed in junior suites on anthem and could maybe get reservations 4 nights out of 7 and at later times.  When we have gone on Oasis in junior suites it is about the same maybe half the time.
