Here is the first update of 2024 for the Dry Docks, Charters & Groups information.

There has been some activity since the November update, so check your dates! There are a few gaps in sailing schedules so I have included most of them as 'Possible Charter' or 'No Itinerary Published' until more information can be found.

For any errors, I apologise in advance!

As usual, if you can provide any information on upcoming Dry Docks, Charters or Groups, then please post to this thread and I will update the information in the next file.

A knitting group has the whole damn ship for a 21-night cruise? (Zuiderdam, June 8-29, 2024). I guess anything is possible, but that looks like a misprint. A partial charter maybe? (Then again, maybe I underestimate the number of knitters out there!).

Its listed both as a charter and a group. Must be a typo.

Nothing official, but judging the itinerary listing of Zaandam and the fact that its last dry dock was in 2020, Zaandam has no sailings between January 18th 2025 and February 8th 2025 and is believed to have a dry-dock in that period, as mentioned by a FCC on board.

Off the top of my head part of it is size and part of it is location/itinerary based on time of year. Ive been monitoring this list for a while -- partly to see what types of charters are out there and partly to calculate if the ships/itineraries I am interested in are likely to be snatched up as charters.

For size -- the charter pays for the whole ship so they kinda need to make sure they can get enough interested passengers. The difference of a few hundred berths between NA and the pinnacle ships is important in that.

If you notice the Oosterdam gets a lot of charters in the Med -- something I noticed and will consider if looking at a Med cruise in the future.

The NA fits a sweet spot I think -- decent size, slightly more amenities than others (like the Oosterdam) since it has the NY Pizza, regularly does 7 day itineries (another thing most charters are no more than 7 days).

I just got this email this morning that Effy Jewelry has chartered it and inviting me to sail
