We are not big drinkers, DH enjoys scotch and I am more of a mixed drink gal ( gin, vodka). We will be cruising in the Caribbean in a couple of weeks. Can anyone suggest a girlie kind of  drink that they really enjoyed.

Cheers!

I'm very much a girlie girl - and I drink Jameson on the rocks.  If that is not girlie enough for ya - I love a Bellini, made with Prosecco, of course.

Tough question, but for me some hot weather drinks I like include:  Aperol Spritz, Tequila Sunrise, Mojito, Salty Dog, Hurricane and Mint Julip.  Or you can ask the bar tender who can offer good suggestions too.

Try a French 75. Simply gin and champagne. Sounds odd but delicious. Normally comes with sugar on the rim but you can ask for it without

Yes - that's a good one!

We might be on the same cruise. We are big drinkers lol and almost always we opt for red wine, especially a Bordeaux. I also enjoy a top shelf vodka martini but the problem is that I can’t keep up! I’ve been looking into some lighter drinks and am planning to try a bitters and soda.

And then there is also a Cosmo, to add both color and freshness to your warm weather enjoyment.

A Cosmopolitan is the first cocktail I enjoy after embarkation.   It gives me a chance to assess the quality of the bar/bartender.  Yum!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the signature cocktails Regent has created for each ship.  That is my boarding ritual--drink the ship's signature cocktail and get an order of lobster nachos (with extra lobster!) from the Pool Bar and Grill.  The RSSC.com menu, https://www.rssc.com/experience/cuisine/pool-grill, doesn't show the cocktail for the Grandeur (presuming that's the one you're on) yet, but here's the EXPLORER cocktail's ingredients as an example:  Aperol, Apple Pucker, Pomegranate Juice, Sweet & Sour, Mint.

And almost any cocktail from the Meridian Bar will probably fit the parameters you cited.  Also, we've found they have shifted to a lot of ice, little booze in the cocktails in that bar, which also makes them a lighter choice by default.

I don't normal drink cocktails but having tried a "Mariner" during our last cruise it became my pre-dinner tipple of choice 🍸

It also cured a ship's sniffle within 48 hours (with the added remedy of a hot chocolate with marshmallows & brandy 😋)

Cheers🥂

Lemon drop! Italian getaway- Prosecco, Campari, and grapefruit (unfortunately, these go down far too easily). Haven’t tried one but the Voyager martini gets good reviews.

I make a girly drink at home which consists of gin or vodka, pomegranate juice, ginger syrup, lemon twist, and a splash of champagne. My very manly brother has to have several at every family gathering. I doubt that one could be replicated onboard, however!

I've passed quite a few enjoyable evenings experimenting with the bartenders; give them a starting point, ask for recommendations, try them and adjust as necessary.  Highly recommended at the pool bar - the sea air seems to make any cocktail taste better.

I love a porn star martini.  They are made with passion fruit and are fruity and very drinkable. Not on the cocktail menu but happily and lovingly made by barman on the Mariner. Took a few tries for him to get it just the way I like them. What fun it was drinking the prototypes and once I gave the thumbs up they were correct everytime I ordered them from him.
My husband loved the signature cocktail “ Voyager “ enough to book us a cruise on her next summer.

😁😁

If you can get the bartender to make you a real amaretto sour (or whiskey sour), these are our go to drinks for hanging by the pool.  Please make sure that the bartender does not use sweet and sour, but squeezes a couple of lemons.  Also, a classic daiquiri (not the fruity ones) go down smoothly on a warm Caribbean day.  I gave the bartender my recipe and they were always on the money.

Do you like martinis? Then Vesper martini. Another gin based drink I enjoy is Negronis. I don’t know if they are “ girlie” but they’re good!

I agree with asking a bartender (If not crush time) to make something unique or that you like.  On our recent Grandeur cruise I asked Ronnlyn (sp?) to make a Pain Killer and gave her the basic ingredients, she had no idea but she nailed it!

On every cruise I ask a bar tender who I think knows something about drinks to make me a rum drink so long as no grenadine - the worst thing to put in a drink.  (I can make some good drinks at home so I like to challenge them)  Best mixologists are (so far in my experience) on Scenic, those folks make amazing drinks.

How interesting about Scenic. We have taken two Scenic cruises ( Danube and Rhine) about 7 years ago but don't recall the outstanding mixologists, so we might need to try them again!!

We were on Scenic Eclipse 11 in September. Fabulous cruise. The food was delicious and have to say I found the included wines far better quality than onboard Regent.  The bar staff in scenic lounge were very experienced there in making cocktails.  Jean.

We really liked these two cocktails on the Splendor in 2022 and hope they are still there!  The Bonne Soirée is pictured. The big ice sphere in a martini glass is a good look, I think.
