Ah! Good point. Completely missed that as I have not sailed on her. I forgot they changed the structure and silhouette, not just simply re-purpose it. So I assume Utopia will also be like that.

So now I guess we look for the number of slides, the go-cart track or roller coaster.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before they realized how high is too high.

Hoping for this to filter down to cruise prices for 2025.

Unfortunately, not everybody knows they can cancel and rebook

Also, now people will be happy that it is 50 %

Off and think it is a deal

I'm stickin with Cloud 17, looked much quieter and more adult like than the Hideaway and nobody blocking your view at the glass!  No kids either.  Just like I suspected, kids are elsewhere.

Thank you for taking the time to showcase the ship. I vowed I would never set foot on such a big ship, but now that I see, Icon is a game-changer. There are still deals through travel agents, I jumped on an inside guarantee for Sept. 2025. It was $2000 less than Royal's website.

CRUISINGHAWG,  What a spectacular job you have done!!  Your enthusiasm is awesome and we can tell you are having a great time.  You have given all of us a great perspective of the ship in so many ways.  We dont sail on her until January 2025 but you have definitely "wet our whistle"

If you get a chance we would love a tour of the Casino and the bar they have down there.  A lot of us on the boards spend a lot of time down there and we would love to see it through your eyes.  Thanks so much for your time and effort.  Dan and Jill

thank you for the kind words we have enjoyed bringing this to everyone, it’s been a blast for all of us. Unfortunately one cannot film or take pics in casino. However if you have been watching i interviewed Chris Wong last night and he is the asst casino manager and stated it is the largest casino in the fleet. And i can say the bar is awesome as it is large and friendly. again Thank You And by the way this is cruisinghawg using DW account LOL

What would you use it for? Seems to me like a throw away....who uses this at home anyway?

They charge for the 2nd although last night, after I ate the 1st,  my waiter asked quietly if I wanted the one Sharon didn't order.  Same with our friend, wife didn't have one so he was asked if he wanted another.

Unfortunately Toby now has a liking for Lobster tails.  Mental note to myself to start inviting Sarah on these as she does not like Lobster.

Lots of people make cocktails at home, I would use the bar tools... not sure I'd need a carrying bag for them though.

@cruisinghawg  Thank you for all of the time you took to take and upload all of the pic's, and video's.

I was waiting, but I just might have to contact Ken earlier than I planned to see what kind of pricing he has left for Icon.

Enjoy the rest of your cruise!

I agree the Cloud 17 is a good compromise even if not called as adult it will be somewhat adult.

the Hideway I am hearing is way way loud and the pool with those beds in it is unappealing to me.

Still when I go on in May, I will wander back and put my feet in and look down for a photo, then head back to Cloud 17.

I think V/F class ships have a really nice look to them. Though that after market slide on Mariner detracts from her, once upon a time, symmetry.
