justcrusn Posted March 26 #1 Share Posted March 26 we have done enough celebrity cruises to reach elite, but none in a 2-3 years, so what is changed? specifically the captains club cocktail hour, elite breakfast, and policy of bringing wine onboard at embarkation? it used to be 3 drink coupons that were not valid in the dining room and two bottles per cabin carry on thanks in advance

Captains club cocktail hour is 5 - 7 every day except embarkation day. It is not longer held exclusively in the Sky Lounge but rather at most bars, exceptions noted in the information card you will find in your stateroom on embarkation day. They have restarted having the reception in a venue on the ship on one or two nights each sailing for those that want to go there vs just any bar. Elite breakfast is still being held and is still continental style. Depending on the ship and the number of Elite and above guest depends on which venue is used. Again, see the flier in your cabin. Wine policy is one bottle per guest of legal drinking age. 2 hours ago, justcrusn said: it used to be 3 drink coupons that were not valid in the dining room and two bottles per cabin carry on Drink coupons are long gone.

MCC retired Posted March 26 #8 Share Posted March 26 Yes , Early Elite Dinners are at a disadvantage with the 5-7pm free drinks ☹️ RCI Drink Coupons all day is a far better system for every Elite/Diamond 👍

My wife is not much on drinking and we normally dined around 6:30 pm so I would get ready for dinner and go to the Happy Hour from about 5:30 - 6:15 pm and then back to the cabin to collect here and then stop by a bar on the way to the MDR and grab us each a glass of wine to have with dinner. Worked out well for us before we started booking suites.

Don't know about you but I seem to always have dirty laundry. The Elite buffet breakfast is relaxed and the mimosas or cappuccinos are great. If you have a drink package agree the happy hour no big deal.

Elite breakfast also includes mimosas, sparkling wine (champage) and bloody Mary's. During 5 to 7 pm you can pick up enough free water and sodas to get you through the next 24 hours. Internet minutes you can use any time any day - much more flexible than Royal's system especially on longer cruises. One bag Laundry per person. We also love having our RCL diamond free drinks at the pool during the hot afternoons!! Also on RCL we love the free capachino (sp) and latte in the diamond club!! Also the diamond club food (all day snacks) and diamond club food during HH is awesome! Unlike the pathetic stuff that is served by a limited number of waiters during Celebrity elite HH. I don't call stale crackers with a bit of stale cheese a treat! We still sail Celebrity due to itinerary reasons NOT for the Elite food benefits!! We were on the Symphony OTS in Feb 2024. Our experience was just the opposite of yours. Celebrity should improve their current Elite HH and make it like RCIs. Allow x number of drinks all day long. Not just 5 - 7pm. If you don't drink, I don't care!

Now that my husband has passed I’ll be cruising with a friend who does not have status so I doubt that I would be attending the breakfast alone. I’ve been cruising long before bottled water became a “thing” so have absolutely no problem drinking the ship’s water. I don’t drink soda. I do enjoy an alcoholic drink with dinner and maybe in the casino or at a show - and I can use the four allotted drinks to “buy” my friend a drink if I want. The longest I’ve ever cruised has been two weeks but I’ve never felt the need to have my clothes boiled on the ship. On this particular cruise internet is included so being able to split the hours might be useful.

Your cabin mate will (should) be able to accompany you to the breakfast - check with the Captains Club Host on the ship. I have never understood the supposed "boiling" of the laundry - every uniform is washed on the ship without any issues. We use the laundry on every cruise and on the odd occasion when an item has been damaged or lost we have always been refunded the full cost as an OBC. That said we don't put any particularly important items i. As it's "wash and fold" we always put a note on the form in big letters saying " please return the items on hangers, thank you" (don't forget the please and thank you) and the laundry has always come back as good as pressed. Have a great cruise.

cheeseheads4ever Posted April 3 #21 Share Posted April 3 (edited) Cruising on Beyond in a few weeks just got off Reflection using our Elite status for Captains Club Breakfast. Was nice to get a coffee there or a Bloody Mary. As far as 5-7 Happy hour that was excellent too at the Martini Bar. Can I expect the Martini Bar on Beyond to have the 5-7 Happy Hour? It seemed that all bars honored it except WCB. We got the sheet upon arrival on Reflection listing bars but WCB was the only one we couldn’t go to. Any help would be appreciated. There are many useful benefits besides the cocktails. Check the list and Cap Club paperwork you receive in your cabin. Can't figure out, if Royal perks are much better, what brings so many Royal Diamonds cossing over to X? Many of the Elite events are very crowded.. among participants are Royal Diamond guests.. I’m at an age where I have no interest interest in all of the bells and whistles that RCI has to offer (my rock climbing, flowrider, etc., days are long past), so I do like the X product. Since my husband has passed I will be cruising with a friend who doesn’t have status this time so I probably won’t be attending the special breakfast or the other events but we’ll see. We resemble that remark - or at least we did -- We will reach elite plus at the end of our next cruise (actually on day 2 but points do not count until after the cruise is over). We came to celebrity as we were in our late 60's and the great appeal of Royal Caribbean did not really do it for us. We enjoyed the ship and the venue's but we are not into flow rider, rock climbing, etc.

The last I knew cabin mates of Elites were allowed to attend Elite events e.g. The Breakfast. They do not get benefits like a bag of laundry, internet discount, etc.
