We are close and take care of one another. As well as pets. We babysit his dog when he travels. Be safe. Oh I wish I had someone like that. We instead take separate vacations or RV trips where our pup will come.

Sunshine3601 Posted April 18 #30 Share Posted April 18 12 hours ago, Lionesss said: So after our June cruise on Allure out of Galveston the time spent in casino I found this little piece of paper in our cabin. So after much consideration and thought provoking discussion ( haha) we saw Symphony- April. Looked up itinerary. No brainer. Booked onBoard. Now some maybe doubtful of my investment so far. But in reality our final receipt says it all. As you see we paid $78. Vacation protection plan $296 Gratuities $229.92 Taxes. Which so far totals $603.92 for our “free” cruise Now being Diamond plus gets us 10 free thirst quencher’s daily. ( yup another lol) we rarely drink. And I am signature in casino. So we do not buy alcohol package. We do not do extra specialty dinning we enjoy Coastal Kitchen — except that one night when they have that goofy menu so I eat off kids menu. We paid for one excursion, I have to look up that price. Turtles in Curacao We were reimbursed for the zip line in Labadee. ( yup me zip lining) would have been third time. Ok. That’s all for now. Off to buy feeder fish for our pet turtles Slo-poke and Peeve. Peeve was our daughters turtle and when we asked her why did you name it Peeve. Her response was priceless. “Everyone has to have a pet peeve” Be safe Batten down the hatches Storms a coming. Nice! Extra nice to have that freeplay too🤩

Rare Lionesss Posted April 18 Author #35 Share Posted April 18 So we live far enough away from the storm damaged tornado areas. But we did benefit from the beauty of nature. I wonder if it’s a sign that I should look for “The Pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow”? Safe travels to all.

I consider "breaking even" to be winning in any casino, land or sea. It's free entertainment as far as I'm concerned. I usually have a budget on how much I plan to lose and if I come in under budget, I consider that winning too!
ScubaCat3 Posted April 18 #42 Share Posted April 18 Regarding Coastal Kitchen on Symphony - I very recently did a B3B on Symphony. On week three they debuted some new dishes on the Coastal Kitchen menu. Most of the menu is the same but there are one or two new dishes per day - many with "lobster" in the title though not necessarily on the plate. For example, one dish was titled "Lobster and Shrimp Ravioli". You might think the ravioli contained lobster and shrimp but you would be wrong. It was actually a good dish with a bad name. The ravioli contained spinach and cheese (which was very good) topped with a few smallish, stringy shrimp. The lobster was nowhere in sight. The server checked with the chef and said the lobster was in the red sauce. After very close inspection I might have found a piece of lobster the size of an eyelash but no flavor added. Once I readjusted my expections appropriately I really enjoyed the cheesy ravioli with red sauce. I would order it again knowing what was coming. Another new item was arancini. I liked it better than Jamie's version because Coastal Kitchen plated the arancini on three sauces - red, white and green (pesto). It was very tasty. I hope you find some new dishes you enjoy!

Rare Lionesss Posted April 18 Author #48 Share Posted April 18 We are spending the night in Cleveland. We heard that the Ohio Turnpike was closed eastbound at Mile marker 205 from yesterday’s storms. A tractor trailer was blown over and blocked all 3 lanes. Unconfirmed sources said it took around 8-10 hours to clear. Do not know if that was in the path of tornado or just HIGH winds. We get on the Turnpike at mile marker 205 so we were 2 miles east of closure. However Spring has truly arrived in Ohio. The orange Barrels mean road construction. But wait. This area has been under construction for 2 years. Must be a good paying contract for it to be going on for ever and aver and ever and ever……….. Casual dinner here and then early to bed early to rise makes a person wanting more sleep Alarm set 3:00 3:05 3:10 3:15 3:20 😳 5

I was in the “Honors” good girl group. And we did not chance any events that would jeopardize our scholarships. And I was younger than my peers only 17 when I graduated. So we drank Pepsi. No alcohol. Well after you dance in the woods act like you never been out before and drink many cans of pop. You gotta “P”. Only problem no bathrooms. And I could not squat and P. So I laid down flat and did what I had to do and watered the area. When I got home at 5:30 am. My mother was P****d. All that I said was I called you told you where we going. Who I was with and I would be home very very late. You said ok. Mom. I never did ANYTHING to disappoint you. My father stood up for me. That made her day. ( not). We did not bring up the subject again for weeks. When we did it was water over the damn. But my mom goes can I ask you one question. Of course I said yes. She goes when I was sorting the clothes to do the wash why were there leaves in your underwear???? Yup No outhouses. I just got the look. I am blessed my mother never brought up bad vibes once it was discussed. Once and done. I learned a valuable lesson from her. And talk about that volcano crater. I was there also on a girls trip after my undergraduate. I paid to be chartered up that volcano with bikes in tow. Above the clouds. Sunrise. I cried. It was beautiful. Then we got on our bikes and rode all the way down that winding hill to the half way mark. I rode the brakes non stop. Never peddling. So at the rest stop was a convenience store I had a Tab and of course had to “P” There was a sign on the wall behind the toilet. Mind you we were very high above sea level. “if it’s yellow let it mellow. If it’s brown flush it down”. It takes 15 min for water to fill the tank due to low pressure. I can only imagine what memories I will bring to light on this thread. Oh Lordi. Well at least it’s in my past and we move forward. Be safe.
