Hi,

On Beyond, our first B2B out of FLL, we have to change cabin, they say we dont get off, just go through quick reboard, all good! Now, we need to pack up our clothes in our suitcases, our toileteries, etc and they will move it? Our clothes on hangers, they just move them?

Thanks! Exciting but we could not keep the same cabin, not a huge deal😂 just want more info on what we do.. Am sure they will tell us also

thks!

Did the cabin move on Silhouette recently.  Moving was a breeze.  Toiletries went into carry-on.  Steward moved everything from the closet that was on a hanger.  I keep other clothes in packing cubes so they went right into my suitcase.   Easy peasy.  Best part was having an empty ship to ourselves until new passengers started to come on.

You will need to exit & renter the ship with your passport, credit card & old seapass card.

changing cabins is pretty painless. Leave hanging clothes in closet, pack up everything else in your suitcases (we bring everything in the safe with us). Your old room steward & your new one will take care of moving your cases & hanging clothes.

reminder your OBC doesn’t carry forward from one cruise to the other , nor do drink packages or wifi.

you’ll have a meeting day before the chdbfeiver & will meet as a group & exit & enter as a group

Usually very easy process.   If changing rooms, I normally stop by my new cabin and introduce myself to the new stateroom attendant and ask him to ring our room when the current occupants have left their room.   I then move the things from our Safe to the New Room.

All you need to pack are things that are not on hangers.   All things on hangres will be moved to your new room as well as you suitecases and other bags.

You have 2 options -- Use a Transit Pass included in you instructions and go ashore before 9AM and tour for the day. Will this choice can not reboard until general boarding begins.    The other option is that  after last call about 9:15 you meet in a designated place with other B2B and they escort you off the ship through immigration (usually facial recognition).    Once all the B2B's have been cleared and the ship Zeroed out they escort B2B's back aboard and you have full access to the ship until general boarding begins around 11 AM

They also try to turn the B2B's cabin first so you can get into your new cabin earlier than others.

Personally I won’t do a B2B without staying in the same cabin (made that mistake once), but as others have stated it isn’t too big of a deal changing cabins, just something I wouldn’t do again. It’s so much easier and relaxing doing a B2B in the same cabin.

Hi

we have done this once and our new cabin was about 10 doors down the hallway. They were exactly the same cabin type, so I don’t know if this applies, here is what was done.

Our steward introduced us to our new cabin steward and they told us to just empty the safe and put the items in the new cabin safe. They told us to just pack everything in the bathroom and items that were not in the drawers which we then took to the new cabin. Our steward brought a trolley which took all the clothes on hangers we moved our shoes and cases. They then just the drawers from our cabin and replaced those in our new cabin. They then took the empty drawers to our old cabin with the empty hangers.
The whole operation took about 15 minutes, have a great cruise.

What a clever idea to move the drawers rather than the contents!

As someone who organises drawers at home let alone on holiday, moving room would not be an issue to me, everything neatly in packing cubes or bagged. However, we have only B2B once and stayed in the same room. There was something very nice the evening of the last night of the first cruise seeing suitcases in the hall and knowing we still had more than the same amount of cruise time to come…

Since i want to move items from my safe to safe in new room, i move my own luggage and backpack since i'm going to the new room anyway.

All guests are supposed to be out of their rooms by 8am.

So 8am i leave for the new room.

My laptop is also in my backpack so I prefer to move it myself to prevent anything from happening to the laptop

Exactly!

Ironically, i plan on canceling the 2nd leg of my b2b next month to go on a different cruise line.

This is the effort i went thru for this b2b:

free b2b from casino in ov but nothing with same room. Paid extra to get Prime OV (or whatever its called).

a little later, got a free veranda but only 1. so upgraded to veranda for the 2nd leg and got refunded the upgrade to Prime OV.

A little later, got 2 free Concierge offers and same room was available! (Nothing else i wanted from the list of free cruises.)

Got refunded for upgrade to Prime OV for 1st leg.

Then another cruise line gives me free balcony on their newest class ship.
Will cancel 2nd leg (done the itinerary before) because that's the only time i can fit it in.

We've never had them move the drawers (on most ships we have been on drawers can't be pulled out and we find stuff behind them all the time).  But we do most of our packing in the 2.5 gallon Ziplock bags.  Each drawer goes into a bag, then into suitcase.  Makes unpacking in the next room easy.

We've done this a few times before and about to do it again. It's really not a big issue. One tip is to use packing cubes or take some carrier bags with you and empty each shelf/drawer content into a different cube or bag before packing your case. Since the cabins have the same layout you can then empty each bag into the corresponding shelf/drawer in the new cabin

Also a good tip to seek out your new room steward a few days before the end of the first cruise and ask them to make up your new room as soon as they can so you can transfer over your safe items and possibly your cases

Question about liquor sales that are made on shore or in the shops on a B2B. Do these get delivered between cruises or does the ship hold them until the end? Just pondering that this morning as we are preparing for a December B2B.

We did a b2b on Apex in August. Alcohol ordered on first leg was delivered at end of first leg. Staff in shops are unaware of your itinerary.

You will be invited to a meeting for B2B'ers.  You'll get all the details.  We just did three in a row, changed cabins on the last one.  We didn't get off the ship on any of the turnarounds.  Trying to remember, but I think we had to go to the dining room within a certain time frame to get our new seapass cards and turn in our old ones.  Oh...and if you like to collect your seapass cards, wait a couple of days and go to Guest Relations.  They'll give you the ones from the prior cruise.

And definitely leave ALL your luggage in your room!  Do not put out in the hall the night before.

They will deliver the liquor at the end of the first cruise.

In some ports you can stay onboard.  For all US ports you are legally required to get off the ship and then re-board.  Having said that, I do recall one US port call many years ago where we did not have to get off.  Why that was an exception I don't know.
