I just reserved a pair of inside cabins on deck 8 on the Queen Victoria, specifically cabins 8154 and 8155, but the deck plans show a big white space near them. Always wonder about these white spaces. Someone at Cunard said it was crew storage. Does anyone know if this will be noisy or should be avoided for any reason.

Thanks!

Evangaline.

The white space is probably the aft pool on deck 9 with the hum of electrics to do with pool. You will have noise from chairs and loungers being placed out on dry days by pool staff early morning and aft sail away party bands in the evening. Bearable maybe on a week or two week cruise.

Oh! That doesn't sound good. The DH is a really light sleeper too, so this is likely not a good choice. I just have them on hold, so will need to keep looking. Thanks!

I am about to take my first cruise and I am worried this could happen to me. I thought the cruise people on board would be aware of this and ensure that such a thing never, ever, ever, happens. I am saddened that a trip can be ruined and no one does anything about it. Thanks for the tip.

Just off Celebrity Silhouette, DO NOT BOOK cabin 3107. Loud crashing noises all night long, and also some during the day. It should seriously only be considered if you are deaf and the noise doesn't bother you. The cabin itself was nice, oceanview....but the noise! EEEK. Luckily they moved us the 3rd day after many (nice) complaints.

We experienced that on our last Carnival cruise. It was awful. Had to ask to switch cabins.

Can anyone provide feedback on this cabin? Looking for pros and cons. Also, what is in the large white area on the deck plans next to it?

Crew stairs. That's the area used by crew to move around the decks. The crew are not supposed to be on public decks

Serene looking forward to your views on the Vista. You and I have sailed together before and we'll be on the Vista 07/29/17. Booked an aft premium corner Havana balcony. 6466...$$$$$!!! And hope its worth it! :/

Anyone have any feedback on cabin 6338 Carnival Magic?

its a good cabin. above the casino so you should not have noise issues.

Being in the same area across on the other side? I would say MOVE QUICKLY

there is a band that sets up right under there and do not start playing unitl 9pm at night. and plays til the wee hours.

You are good.

Yep that cabin is very pricy. we took a regular on deck 7 in our favorite spot.

I will probably be posting everything from our sailing.

Since the Grand daughter is not allowed to cruise with us we are wavering on going back to aruba instead.

Decisions decisions

A cabin to avoid is 4101 on the HAL Zuiderdam. This is sold as a partial sea view cabin. What is not listed is the fact that one of the tender winches is located directly outside the window. This resulted in a totally greasy window. In addition, whenever there were tender operations, usually quite early in the morning, there were crew members walking around on the catwalk outside our window and the entire cabin vibrated from the noise of the winch being used.

When this was brought to the attention of Guest Services there reaction was to put a letter out to impacted cabins.

We realize the tenders need to be raised/lowered but feel HAL should disclose the fact that this cabin (and others) will feel vibrations, hear noise, and see crew members outside their window, whenever tenders are used.

We cruise HAL a lot, but will probably avoid the Zuiderdam in the future.

How about carnival breeze 2310? Also how easy is it to upgrade closer to the cruise?

The ship will sell out closer to the cruise.

If looking to upgrade do it now.

In 26 cruises only 2 have ever come down in price

Wow! TMI IMHO!

With thousands of replies my cruise would be over before I found comments for the suites I booked.

Cruise Critc does invite folks to post reviews of their cruise in many catagories via each cruise line/ ship. Not totally 100% but it is coming along.:D
