  1. I would have to agree with one possible caveat. For the second cruise when you answer the Questions of Have you tested positive or been in contact with a positive person in the past 10 days. This will flag you for a medical evaluation at the pier that if have a negative test - I assume you would be permitted to board but not heard of someone with this exact scenario. While they are indeed 2 separate cruises - i tested positive the last day of a B2B and was tossed off the ship and my next cruise was automatically cancelled. I've pondered the same thing about our upcoming 12 night Greenland/Iceland. I was originally thinking good odds if we tested positive we could fly to Iceland and pick up the 2nd cruise. Things changed and we had a breakthrough mild case so waiting for the 11 days and getting COR's so should be covered regardless of what happens. Cruise is still 19 days off so plenty of time to both test negative and have a COR as a backup
  2. Iain just asked --- What are you laughing about. I obviously couldn't hold in tn.
  3. I as being politically correct and quoting their word as I said BS under my breath. LOL By putting it in " " I thought others would get my tongue and cheek comment.
  4. I have this genetic melody that many have that when I walk into a bright light or glare hits me at a certain angle I start sneezing which can last for 2-3 minutes. I've learned to stop it by closing my eyes and squeezing the bridge of my nose but still sneeze (trying to be discreet) 4-5 times.
  5. And in the middle of this surge San Francisco dropped masking requirements on Bart.
  6. You didn't indicate where your cruise will be departing from - The protocol is constantly changing and is referenced somewhere on the site in general terms. There are different protocols for each departure country and countries visited. The one consistent commonalities I have heard is that if Tested Positive you are moved to an isolation room near the medical center if space is available on the day of isolation. You will remain in isolation for at least 5 days (or end of cruise) and if tested negative you may be released from your room but wear a mask at all times and limited to where you can eat. Cabin mate has a choice of joining you in isolation or remain in original cabin as long as test negative and will be tested daily for x number of days. In Europe where there are isolation requirements passengers are permitted to stay aboard at the end of the cruise until out of isolation days by country and then leave the ship wherever that may be. Canada, I know has isolation requirements but not sure they are handling it. There are currently 2-3 threads by people who tested positive and you can read in details of what happened or is happening.
  7. Curious about the Zoom Call which I've very familiar with. Does the agent stay with you the whole time from test and 15 minute wait or do the go away and come back like with eMed? With eMed they have a timer that makes a beep when done so I usually grab a cup of coffee or watch the news while waiting and then just press the button and get a new agent to read the results.
  8. I think most of us do the same. I turn off the notification that I left it behind. After checking bag I check before board and feel comfortable when it shows on tarmac next plane. Also our bags were delayed in Glasgow along with about another 20 guests. It felt comforting to see both of them next to plane and they eventually moved to the terminal.
  9. I've been using mine for the last year after someone picked up my bag. They realized it after customs at the Terminal. Luckily when I reported my missing bag a couple walkies talkie conversations let me know I could get it past customs. Last cruise I could see it with the Porter after I checked in. I later showed it aboard the ship but location was just in water (of course). I also used it at Heathrow and Glasgow Airport and actually see it first next to plane then on the plane and then on tarmac in Glasgow.
  10. Since the resumption of cruising they have rolled out the ability to drop your bags upon boarding. You board using your bar coded Express Pass and your SeaPass will be in the Mail Slot. They ask you to just drop your bags as many rooms aren't completed with housekeeping. We also put our Valuables and wallets in the Safe.
  11. We contacted the Engagement Center on our return and they processed our refund. I took about 6 weeks to complete. Unlike @Northern Aurora we were not given the option of a FCC. I would have taken it for sure as we had some upcoming cruises. Many have been reporting that it isn't happening automatically and you need to call in to get it moving.
  12. I think one of the original passengers must remain on the reservation. We recently booked to two bookings on our cruise as we were going to ask Iain's Sister and Brother In Law to join us on a cruise. 6 months later we extended the invitation and they were delighted. One booking was Iain and I and the Second was Me and Iain's Sister. This week I had her husband replace me on their room. Took m agent about 10 minutes to do.
  13. I've had that happen before also. Today was weird I purchased one tour and it auto filled in the amount and just had to press button. The other I had to manually enter Consistency!
  14. While I'm not a wine expert by any stretch of the imagination. Living close to the Napa valley I do hear lots of wine discussion. Many have said they find Sutter Home White Zin very similar to Beringer and many say they like it a little better but would drink Beringer if Sutter Home wasn't available. I believe Celebrity carries it and especially if on a drink package try it and toss it if you don't like or ask the Sommelier for something similar. They are really good at finding something you will like.
  15. I fully expect them to as the recently did the first sea trial and were part of the application to the FCC. The real questions raised on the nerd sites I follow is How will Starlik work under stress with potential 1,000 of simultaneous users. Will the cruise lines create a create a new pricing tier for "UltraHigh Speed". My understanding is the cost at least on land is is $110 per month (90 MPS) which I believe is higher than many of us pay for that speed of service.
  16. LOL -- I googled how many days until September 2 and it returned 46. If want the earliest try tonight at 1 minute after Midnight. On my 3 check-ins the earliest time remained available for 3-4 days.
  17. They open at 45 days prior to cruise. By my calculations you are at 46 days today. If you check the App it has the exact date. I have also experienced a delay in obening by a day or two but just checked in for the 3rd leg of a B3B and all opened exactly 45 days. AT least on our cruise they open at 12:01 AM local time of where the cruise departs. In California I could grab a time at 9:01PM the night before for a Florida cruise.
  18. Thanks for posting Live. Looks forward to sipping my coffee and enjoying your adventures. Really enjoy Captain Ioannis Kasimatis he is a great Captain and very sociable and follow him on Instagram.
  19. Linda, Who's the current Captain?
  20. Thanks so much for posting a Live Report. I'm so excited to follow as we will be sailing out of Newark in 20 days. It is helping me survive the next couple weeks and sail vicariously with you. A couple questions from our very active roll call - Do they have any Apple products in the Internet Cafe and if so are they all older versions. Are they still serving food in Ocean View or have the shifted to self serve. Thanks again.
  21. I was thinking the same book two SS and have the equivalent of a CS and much lower cost.
  22. You need to apply for a Celebrity CC membership number and enter your Royal number. You can also have CC and have them link the accounts. Conversely you could also probably stop by the CC desk Concierge on the ship and she can link and upgrade you. Dining - On edge Cass ships they don't have the HUGE MDR and have 4 smaller restaurants. Most of the tables are 2 and 4 tops. I'm sure others will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe they will only seat people with their travel group so you would get a single table. They are so close you will naturally chat to those at adjacent tables.
  23. You will be undated after the completion of the cruise that takes you over the limit. It takes about a week or 2 but if on a B2B just stop by the CC Concierge Desk and they will confirm with Miami and update you immediately. Basically you have to complete the cruise before you earn the points.
  24. You can just cancel them and rebook with OBC and will be credited back to you CC in a day or 2.
  25. The trick is you select the excursion. You will see the price in a box top right. If you look there will be a box where you can manually enter the amount of OBC you wish to apply. When you apply it the balance will change to Zero and then you submit order. If you don't manually enter an amount it defaults to charge your CC. Also if you apply your last amount of OBC and a balance remains the remainder will be charged to your CC.
