  1. I read the Terms and Conditions and it indicates a number of things are optional - on the list was insurance information so like you I filled in No Insurance. While I don't know, I believe that the form is common for all intakes and they also do Virtual Doctor Visits for reasons other than just testing.
  2. We leave on our cruise in exactly 2 weeks. Last night I signed up for 2 tests and did the paperwork. I scheduled it for one week out as a placeholder. It was a mandatory field to schedule. It also notes the date and time can be changed online anytime. I initially put in a dummy date. This morning I went in and scheduled it for about 2 hours before we leave for the airport.
  3. Have to agree with you. When we were escorted off the ship with Covid they had a guy in front of us and in back of us in Hazmat suits spraying a fine mist. I've seen them doing the same to rooms and hallways around the room after a passenger was escorted to isolation. If really concerned we can also self sanitize touch surfaces in our room (especially the phone and remote) and hard surfaces. We usually do that in Hotel, Airplanes and on the ship.
  4. If it's a refundable I would go for the Cash Out - on Silhouette only available the last day of cruise. The main reason was I had a huge Agent credit and by cashing out I didn't get a 3X mileage deduction for the "return".
  5. I've sailed a number of times around Xmas. In my experience they begin decorating the ship at the very end of the Thanksgiving Cruise and then keep building up to full decoration by the week before Xmas. They really make the ship look festive.
  6. My experience when I did the same - Tour First I didn't get much information at all. The details, hotel were included in the Cruise Documents. Basically on arrival at Anchorage Airport there was an agent holding a sign. You are given a sticker an a porter takes your luggage. When the last passenger on your flight arrives you board a bus to the Hotel. At the hotel they have a meeting for all on your bus or if many they break it into two meetings. At the meetings they give you the schedule, extra tour details and prices and luggage tags and instructions how to use for things that will remain on the bus and those to be delivered to your room.
  7. It's just another email everyone gets. You can submit and they will stop sending to you. Makes sure after you enter your data ... click add other passenger or it will continue for weeks.
  8. Nahhh... I was of the school that it was 12:01 AM Eastern and a fellow cruiser on our Aug 8 forum from Southern California Elite was to the first to try it Iceland time. All of us west Coasters were quick to follow after he posted. I think it's more younger inquisitive members got the worm
  9. Nahhh.... You were treated like a " Celebrity "
  10. I was thinking the same. While this may not be consistent, many in our Iceland Summit Cruise it opened at 12:01 AM Iceland time. There were a number of us in Pacific time zone that were able to checkin about 6:01 PM the day before.
  11. Easiest is to Click Start CheckIn any time after 12:01 time zone of where cruise leaving on the day checkin opens and click arrival time and just select arrival time for each passenger. You lock in the CheckIn time and can come back later and fill in the rest. I do it often. If I calculate right Amsterdam is 6 hours earlier than Miami so you could do checkin anytime after 6:01 AM Amsterdam
  12. My experience is that if your offer is approved the first thing you will get is a Charge to your credit card. I have an alert set for any charge over $100 so I get a buzzzz on my watch. Next you get an e-mail. You have to go to your Manage Reservation to see the assigned room. At exactly 48 hours prior to Embarkation opening - about 11AM for Port Everglades messages are sent out - Sorry your bid was not accepted. Sometimes if you don't get the rejection your cabin is assigned at the terminal and sometimes (very rarely) the Upgrade Fairy comes and you get a free upgrade at the terminal. This is usually what happens if someone tests positive within 48 hours of sailing.
  13. Great Captain. Hopefully he will still be aboard for the 8/7 cruise
  14. On the 8/7 sailing they approved them on the 21 days prior to sailing. The 8/19 probably won't be approved for another week. Everyone on our roll call reported approval on the same day.
  15. Another option you might look at is to watch the prices of SS and see if they drop to a range that make them attractive to book. While you may bid now this far out Bids are not normally awarded until about 7-14 days prior to sailing and may not be awarded until 48 hours prior to departure.
  16. Open excursion on Calendar and then press cancel
  17. https://www.celebritycruises.com/healthy-at-sea/faqs Sailings departing on or after March 18, 2022, Celebrity is now accepting a Certificate of Recovery. We will not accept a Certificate of Recovery in place of a vaccination record. Guests must continue to show proof of full vaccination where required based on age, with the final dose of their vaccine administered at least 14 days prior to sailing. A Certificate of Recovery must meet the following requirements: Be on official letterhead from a healthcare provider, public health official or telehealth provider showing: The Provider’s name The Provider’s address The Provider’s phone number Confirmation of your recovery and completion of isolation Be typed (not handwritten) and signed by the provide Date of validity must extend throughout the duration of your cruise Include a positive result document for a COVID-19 test, either PCR or Antigen test, taken a minimum of 11 days and a maximum of 90 days before the departure date of your cruise. The test results document from your test provider must include the name of the lab that processed the test, the lab’s CLIA Lab Number or Certification Number, the address of the lab, your name, the date the test was taken, type of test, and your positive result. This can be a printed document, email, or telehealth app notification. Fully handwritten doctor’s notes (such as those written on a prescription pad) will not be accepted. Minimal handwritten components (such as a check mark on a “positive” box) are acceptable as long as the other required information is printed on the document.
  18. On July 1 they modified this to include either a positive PCR or Antigen test. In addition the COR has to be issued 11 days after the Positive test date. I've been working on mine and my contact at Celebrity confirmed. It was also indicated that I would have to take the B2B testing between each of my cruises but if I tested Positive the COR would cover me to continue.
  19. With no reference to time frame it could very well be true. Probably for the first 6-9 months when Celebrity resumed cruising, If tested positive you were put off the ship at the next port isolated and flown back to your home via private jet. You can imagine how expensive this was but was probably necessary to get people back on their ships. That protocol was ended and various changes have replaced it.
  20. Curious about the Insurance as never been asked about insurance from eMed. I'm wondering if they are billing back insurance companies and thus the lower testing fee.
  21. While may not be as accurate, many airlines - Delta, American and United for sure have a baggage tracking on their Mobil App. It only shows when it's scanned but you will normally see that when they scan it on and off the plane. I have experienced where they missed a scan and scared me until I saw it loaded onto the second plane.
  22. Thanks. Trying to figure out if going to try them in 2 weeks. I have the eMed ones on hand if needed. I'm curious about wheter you have to sit there for the full 15 minute wait time or get up like eMed
  23. Worth is a very subject word. To me the upgrade is worth it. The space is about 2x that of a SS, Separate Bedroom with a door (very valuable if you have a snoring spouse), Free Laundry, Unlimited specialty dining, 2 Liter bottles of Premium Spirits, Upgraded Champagne, little treats in a crystal box each evening, special luggage drop off area and mini fridge with selection of mixers, waters and beer.
  24. I know this must be very stressful but don't let it spoil you vacation. They will simply take a picture of your Vac certificate at checkin. To be honest I've noticed on my last 5 cruises they have taken a picture of them again even when mine were uploaded and approved. You will not be delayed and will have a wonderful relaxing cruise.
  25. I think that would be dependent on when you booked - I know our next set of cruises are covered under the cancel for any reason up to 48 hours. I don't recall the booking cut off and end date.
