We are considering an ocean crossing on Wind Spirit from Tahiti to Costa Rica. For those that have gone on a transpacific or transatlantic crossing on the Wind Spirit or Wind Star small sailing ship, which is better - deck 1 or deck 2? There seem to be trade-offs - Deck 1 lower on the ship for less rolling, but Deck 2 for less splashing onto the portholes and perhaps more opportunity to open the porthole windows. How much does the deck matter in terms of rockng and rolling and how splashy does it get onto the deck 1 porthole windows while on the open sea?

We are seriously considering this cruise. Just wondering if we would like 21 days at sea. However being pampered for 3 weeks is not all that bad!

From where to where were you sailing on those nights?

What kind of snacks could you order? Do you just tell them where you are on deck?

1. Yes 2. they have an umbrella in each stateroom and a bunch on the gangway. They can run out but not too often. But they are huge and a pain to carry. I’d go with a small folding one. 3. Yes that is fine. Yes all venues same except World z cafe where shorts are allowed.

We are booked in 215. It says noisyx2. Why would it be noisy? Cannot find the actual comment from anyone in 215.

I thought the shower curtain was fine. Thick cloth. Not clingy.

I would bet on Galataport in Istanbul. A huge modern terminal.

We just got off the Quest from Athens to Istanbul (May 28 to June 9). We enjoyed the ultimate drink package. We probably could have gotten more value by drinking more 🙂 but we enjoyed what we had - typically half a bottle each for lunch and for dinner and sometimes champagne in the living room and/or den. The champagne was mediocre, Nicolas Feuillatte, even though they "said" that they had Chandon which we could not locate anywhere. The Cabernet was Borne of Fire from Washington State, another meh wine. We did enjoy the Whispering Angel Rose mainly for lunches on the patio and fairly often finished a bottle between the two of us 🙂 🙂! We also enjoyed mainly for dinner with Mediterranean fare, the Sauvignon Blancs from New Zealand - Map Maker and Kim Crawford and another one that I did not note.

Agree but the way AI is improving you may not even know whether it’s a bot or not?🥴

Hopefully some day they will implement a chat feature. It works well on other cruise lines and airlines and typically the agent can multitask with several customers to save resources while still alleviating the issues,

I’ve worked in Private Equity. Unfortunately the interest in short term gain trumps long term thinking in many cases.

It does seem like we are getting more communication from Azamara which is a good thing!

For my upcoming cruise it does not seem like we get priority embarkation. Anyone else get priority embarkation?

We will be sailing on Azamara for the first time soon. We have limited internet minutes (120 minutes each). Is it easy to log in and log out just to check messages and not waste too much of these precious 🙂 minutes? Does someone have instructions on how this is done?

We leave in 13 days. Today we have no cruises booked either when looking at it just now. Hopefully they are setting up online check in for our cruise. It was supposed to start on May 15. We will see.

I was so excited when I finally saw the pencil! 🙂 But alas, since the OBC is not there I cannot book anything using OBC and also it gave me errors anyway - but it is progress!

Obviously I don't know what happened but sorry you had such a bad experience Andy.

Got the same email even though it shows no OBC and I am not able to book any shore excursions. I’m resigned to not being able to do anything until I board and don’t need or want emails telling me things that are not accurate.
