  1. Thanks for your review and comments. Makes me feel better. We board her in October. Likely will not go to the MDR and just eat in the buffet. Glad to hear all is well. Will be our second Celebrity cruise and looking forward to comparing it to Princess, where we have cruised 26 times.
  2. I didn't say anything about tin foil hat theories, just stating a fact about the medallion. And no, you are wrong. Before the medallion they only knew where you were and what you did when you bought something. Now they know every step you take. I never said anything about it being good or bad. And yes, I'm sure all that data is used to see what is popular and not on ships for future designs. I'm going to guess the new Sun and Star designs are a result of a few years of data from thousands of passengers As well as every other cost increase item or change in the last few years.
  3. Yes, but now they have data on your habits for every second you are near your ship. Marketing gold
  4. Well, yeah, during the pandemic they needed to entice people to cruise, but now they are bursting at the seams with people wanting onboard, and are pricing according to however they think they can maximize each cabin. I will say, at least in my view, the package and onboard items such as wifi prices are outrageous, but they are selling so good for the cruise line.
  5. No limits that I can find for non alcoholic drinks or water. People quote something, but I can't find it in my booking or website.
  6. Just carry it on. They might hold it, they might not.
  7. None of this is changing unless ships drop to 50% capacity, which it won't. Plenty of people to take anyone's place who doesn't like the new pricing and nickel and diming.
  8. It seems to me the multi device was removed when they removed basic as an option to purchase.
  9. I think you have to decide that for yourself. If you are unsure, ask a shipmate for guidance.
  10. You must have also upgraded to a balcony cabin.
  11. We are the same on what we get up and do and I've been called a chair hog on here for just getting up and getting food or going to the bathroom. It's so silly to think that is hogging a chair.
  12. They thought it through and decided to hose customers who were already paying a premium for packages more. It's pretty disgusting honestly.
  13. Email all you want, those folks will never see them. Some CS rep will though.
  14. The decline of society is not impacted by how much money you have. You could say those who have the most are the most destructive to society
  15. Depends on how you value the drinks. Wifi and tips come to about $31, so if you drink $29 a day of value to you, then it's probably worth it. We do not get it. We do not drink alcohol, so I bring on water/soda that we drink, you can do this if you want to deal with packing it in your suitcase or bringing on at ports. I figure for a 7 day cruise I spend less than 1/2 what Plus would cost simply by bringing my own drinks with me and not paying the inflated prices onboard. But ultimately, that is a personal decision for each cruiser.
  16. They can as long as people just shrug and pay it anyway. The only thing that will get anyone's attention is lower bookings and at least for now, that isn't happening, so make weekly changes and cuts.
  17. I'm on the Equinox, and while I'm not big on writing full reviews, I will post comments. I'm not your typical cruiser.
  18. Because we prefer this over the ships water. They recycle the bottles.
  19. Yes, this is what I meant. I thought it was obvious, but I guess it wasn't.
  20. My understanding from reading online and looking at their policy is there is no limits on water and soda brought onboard with you. I'm trying to decide if I put a luggage tag on a case of water and let the porters take it, or check it in a bag. Then carry on my soda.
  21. The memorial day one was increase prices 50% then discount 50%.
