  1. I'd try to see how many of them are booked. Groups usually stick to themselves but if too large group they tend to take over venues. still enough time to switch!
  2. We could not take much more than a few nights of Luminae on BEYOND...dark restaurant, ( other than the "select" area up front) It was noisy, tables too close, very small squishy shrimp, odd menus, slow service other than sommelier and , doled out bread.. It was not impressive! We loved BLU and Raw on 5..which is not just sushi! Res needed! Everyone's tastes varies but I rec trying other venues..may be happily surprised!
  3. does anyone know if Embassy suites has been refurbed yet! It was badly in need during our latest stsy and they said a big refurb was planned. We like the location and service given, but our rm was very dated, dusty, broken furniture...bthrm old.. staying in Dania at a Wyndham property for our Jan cruise...something different. Happy Cruising!
  4. we make our own in the buffet..use a lg ,"glass" or tervis hot coffee poured over ice, add sweetener...milk or cream or ice cream!
  5. Please accept my deepest and heartfelt sympathy.. 62 years of marriage is a blessing... may you enjoy beautiful memories! glad you are following this thread ..it is a story of happiness and love! Hcat
  6. Looks like Royal C turned a beautiful, very natural undisturbed, and low key beach and snorkel area into its version of a Coney Island Amuement Park! We would now prefer Labadee! If you can, rent or try to share one of the overwater cabana huts... They have fans, come with coolers / water some have ladders that go right into the water. There are nice hiking traiis.. a "coaster", bars, lunch pavilions, zip line, paddle boats ,, shops one or two with a/c, bthrms etc Yet Retains is natural character!
  7. Decision was made, but noting that the thermal suite on E Class is not as good as that area on S Class ships for various resons! no view, heated loungers are in a narrow sunny glassed in area.. waste of space...useless swing chairs...nicest part is the locker rm..
  8. Did not know what an F1 visa was..googled it very interesting. I learned that many thousands of foreign citizens study in the US, but it did not move this issue forward. Maybe an immig atty can answer the question about entry to other nations. Cruise ship rules seen to clearly discourage underage minors by their definition from sharing a room unless married (?) Hope it works out!
  9. How many of the E Class suites are SS on each, ship?
  10. Boy woud I love that!. Switch the AQ class ( IV s) to reg IV category with 4 mdrs, and switch SS rms with the real balc to AQ Class with BLU.. A Dream Come True! And one could use the Yoga mat and other in rm exercise amenties! It would elevate AQ Class to match the high prices, and make reg suites a better product, less crowded in Luminae and Retreat..in and out!
  11. We are booked for Jan 2024. o Ascent.. a diff itin..but also booked on APEX Dec 2024...Have been on Edge and Beyond... We will be following! Bon Voyage!
  12. Wow! and now X might be doing same..final payments on our Jan 2024 cruise has passed!
  13. maybe he or they should skip the trip..too many issues. (.Post say he's been in US since 2018 as a student...That's kind of a long time for a basic degree)
  14. Maybe they are waiting for Move Up offers to be set.? But I would def call Celebrity,
  15. Continued blending and intermixing of the two Cruiselines....thus not interested! Isn't ICON a huge ship? .too many of those already jamming up ports!
  16. I would keep the SV.... ...great aft views sunrise, daytime, sunset, night sky. You will enjoy a larger stateroom, large outdoor balcony ( lounger fits) and the 4 lovely mdrs...We had an SV on EDGE..middle 7... it was great! BLU on Beyond is very nice but you can always enjoy AQ Class another time
  17. SAD DAY that Celebrity would follow the Carnival operational guide! It is unsanitary to leave dirty dishes on hallway carpets...At a minimum they should provide a dirt dish cart at end of the hallway. Next we'll be asked to change our own linens when we board!
  18. Jim I am thinking the same as the above poster. If you are not improving with self-self dehydration remedies. Why not see the medical team on board? They may be able to provide a full diagnosis (including a check of kidney function,). Maybe administer some IV re-hydration? . I am not a dr but maybe you need to see one? I believe u have good insurance. Meanwhile do what you can and continue to enjoy the cruise!
  19. I get it but you have to be able to wait it out!
  20. i was also going to suggest that.. But walking in the heat when a cart is available must not have helped. .Hope Jim is now revived! Love the photos and your authentic lunch! Sound like a very good day.
  21. in one of them a few people hit their heads. ouch! .some of the trails are easier than others!
  22. if its before final payment, can't you just switch to something else...even if with a change fee.. or is there a financial benefit to waiting? the region is volatile..to say the least..and the earlier you switch, better choices will be available.
  23. sounds like a great day! Loved the photos! Such lovely blues! Tortola is one of our fav ports..looking forward to going back on Ascent.
