Our tour went from the ship to a landing area..then a bus tour that went into the Gamboa Rain forest. Included an aerial tram ride, and we also climbed an observation tower with a great view if the river,,,,,(?).. Went to a butterfly house and resort for a drink..It was well planned..no issues..except we did not see many birds or animals. . Not sure where we met the ship again...but I dont think it was Colon. Where we went was very colorful and festive. Memory fades but I recall Colon was a sep port...very shabby. I think we got out to a fenced and protected flea market..10 min there was enough...(might have een a diff port.) Costa Rica was great too! I rec an excursion to truly appreciate the beauty of Panama..But is intensely hot there...hats, water and sunscreen needed I have heard water levels are low.. would be a shame to miss the canal! if you go read The Path Between the Seas!

some folks are using them for the first time and go a bit too fast..esp in that hallway! I think it is also hard to maneuver in and out of elevators... best to all get out so they can get in easier.

( posted before reading above reply) did you click on the intinerary.. usually these trips go through a set of locks but do not go further than Gatun Lake..not sure abt how it is now with new locks??? been awhile since we did this type of itin on Royal C...It was when there was one set of " lanes.".. After the lock transit, which was very exciting, we took a tender off from Lake Gatun..had a great tour. We met the ship at a nice port area that had shops, food and entertainment . hope someone has an update for you

thanks for menus..they seem better? but heavy on corn soup and doubt we would pick oxtail or pigs feet,,??

we have enjoyed EDGE and BEYOND and are booked on ASCENT and APEX But also booked on Silhouette for Dec 2024, based upon recent reviews. We are.trying a prime Concierge cabin..short cruise, nothing fancy, just to relax before the holidays! we liked Silho yrs ago..hope still a good choice..Lawn Club Grill is a plus! OP Will you like an older ship.?? that's your decision..

Funhouse is a great description I named the one on EDGE the "Creepy Forest.". My recollection is that the shorter transition hallways on S class with various themes were much more creative. And you could see where you were going .... for Ascent I will try to use stairs near BLU, and otherwise hang on to my husb who guides me through. Our dining is in BLU and we like going to EDEN, so it will be hard to avoid!

what about purchase of the fast Pass? includes wifi upgrade, priority boarding, a few other perks and a lunch..not sure where it is going to be held..it's a new program perhaps it is offered for your sailing???

we never used the balcony on BEYOND the tub shower.. while nice for a soak was slippery..not enough grab bars and dangerous! Luminae...quite meh

1st two look like an IKEA hodgepodge..not very upscale in design, decor or artwork the second 2 while much better quality and set up....are in a VERY dark room! Either way, plus and minus to each We never sit at a bar if we can avoid it; and I personally disike the odor of alcohol which can permeate a bar area

is there a way to find out which have been re furbished? is there a price diff between updated and shabby?

if they left a few carts at the end of the hallway for plate deposits, it might be cluttered but more sanitary than having dirty dishes sit on the floor....so gross.! The stateroom attendant should clear and put dirty dishes on the carts It is not the job of cruisers to clean up..If we are told to do that....no extra tip ! whoever thought of doing the "plates on floor" idea needs to re-think this. Wonder if the Hotel Director approved this? Has anyone reported it?

glad you are safely home..but seems have a very busy cruise schedule coming up. Soon you will be the Queen of the Infinity! Sorry you did not have a stellar Retreat Experience..we felt the same even before the staffing changes were made. Some nice perks but overall not worth the fare. You may be most happy in AQ Class..we have always enjoyed it with BLU.. Thermal suite not so good on M class but it is included. Happy Holidays!

Photos are exceptional! Thanks for sharing your wonderful gift with us ! Not sure if I ever asked: have you ever submitted to the National Geographic or other competitions ? Some of the work you posted above could win in several catogories. My husband is an excellent photographer but lost interest once digital took hold.. I hope he will get back to it as our grandsons show an interest.

very poor look for BLU....looks like what might be served at a weight loss spa! (other than the dessert) everyting including the salmon should have been doubled and the carrots cooked! I usually order a baked potato and eat half but wonder how tiny that will be.
