so much for going unplugged on vacay! we use manual and battery tooth brushes.. non elec razors. It's just the tablet (downloaded reading) and phone (for photos only) that we need to charge) The hair dryer need not stay plugged in. other than med devices, maybe folks can cut back for safety!

on E Class ships, either AQ Class with BLU or the SV with 4 mdrs are fine. We have one of each booked. On S and M clsss ships, AQ is best choice...or Concierge ( mdr) we won't miss the Retreat areas, but will.miss the larger suite cabin with a balcony and early boarding and departure. we werent crazy about Retreat Class..it could use upgrades so for us it's an easy choice. would u lose $ by switching,?

Very nice Review..many good points. . We liked BEYOND, and our suite (with Butler,) but were not that impressed with Retreat, both in and outside, or with Luminae.. More folks seem to share our view that a suite is not needed..on E ships. Headed back to AQ Class on ASCENT...better value for us. I think X could do much more with the Retreat inside...to make it more like a social club rather than like a waiting rm or lobby

good advice.. that TA dropped the ball or dropped your dtr! we already made final for our Jan 28th sailing..have our ins etc booking late, she may not get what she thought was on hold, but might get a last minute deal...

thanks.. I like the bed by bath...then my husb's foot does not hang over into the IV..when he steps out of bed. I did not see orange Pics are the standard Hoppen decor, and I see the fake coral in the niche. You probably also have a vase that does not hold water... I find those colors sad, so I will bring on some live flowers for the niche and a few colorful items to make it brighter! All Hoppen "tshokes" get stowed..same with the overload of pillows! overall a nice clean room!

menus for same class ships are fairly standard. .BLU ( AQ Class) Luminae, (suites) 4 mdrs and specialty dining. lots of variety unless long cruise like a b2b2b

or hot sun bearing down..no seats, no shade! Poor design! For the usual E Class Terminal, we drop off our luggage to porters then my husband drops me off at the entrance with our carry ons..He then makes the wrap around back to the parking garage and walks back...long process. As stated, poor design!

I think if they are put out fresh they will be snapped up quickly..esp by the perpetual card players. On some ships ( not E class), they had or may still have a whole deli area at the back...not self serve.. Meat offerings were not always appealing . I think cheese and hard salamis would keep best!

on E Class, the amazing theaters seem smaller.. we go 1/2 hr early, enjoy a cocktail and people watch. so much easier than Royal C where u have to get tickets and stand on line

we do treadmills or similar, and weight/ resistance machines a few times each cruise.....have to keep our aging muscles firm! never tried the row..maybe I will.. best to do the routines early or easy to skip! We are booked in AQ and I wss asked to pick 2 items for our cabin..hard to recall but probably bands and weights / lite kettle ball. Wonder if X will follow thru

thanks for great pics and tips.. Will remember. to go to the gym early or when sun is not an issue! and, if our roll call gets to the Sunset terrace area early it might be a good spot for Sailaway. That bar was a Zoo on Beyond, making the party undoable . I also have another spot in mind that I think is near Luminae. but.have to look at the deck plan for name and exact location.

do you know the cost and for how many? we are only 2 but maybe nice for a roll call party??

we like the sv size plus a nice outdoor balc..also prefer it as shown bed by bath..gives a nice hang out area with a view.

and the most tempting ones suggested on the menus are often pricey!

it will be up to TA and X to see how it can be worked out..Before that, just guessing..Maybe X will be kind???
