  1. The Eclipse does not have a Retreat Sundeck.
  2. For some unknown reason the cabanas are under dining in their system so it automatically gives the dining dress code. Pool attire is fine, as are shorts.
  3. I’m happy with the discount. Would a larger one be better, of course. But we pointed out an issue and they responded. The $1,600 I got off my cruise makes me 😊.
  4. What email address are you sending your requests to? possibly someone has one that gets a better response.
  5. Whether these 35 employees get Zenith or Elite status doesn’t matter to me. I would speculate that the majority are Senior Officers, who would have been treated very well anyway. I would think there are far more than 35 crew who have been with Royal that long but they aren’t officers and possibly not technically employees. I would be far more concerned about granting Pinnacle members Zenith status.
  6. We used the for an overnight in the National Park in Sri Lanka. Everything was excellent, hotel, game drive, driver. Pricey but it worth it.
  7. If you stick to ordering drinks from the bar menus those are the β€œspecial” drinks of that bar. However you can get a large variety of other drinks at those bars. When it comes to cocktails the main difference between Classic and Premium is the brand of liquor used to make the drink. A margarita, pina colada, dry martini, Bloody Mary can all be made with liquors from the Classic if that is the package you have. If you have the Premium package the margarita, pina colada, etc will be made with liquor from that package.
  8. Blu is anytime dining. Just show up when you are ready to eat. Breakfast there is great also. If you want to go to one of the MDRs tell the Blu hostess or Maitre D the day before so they won’t be expecting you. They try to keep diners with the same wait staff as much as possible. So if they know your not coming lets them plan.
  9. Curious, do you pay the corkage fee even if you don’t take the wine to dining room?
  10. Move Up is hard to gauge as the bidding range varies based on what category you are booked in, what category you are bidding on and what you paid already. So the range is not the same for everyone. In fact there are times that a point in the bidding range would have you paying more than the cost to just outright upgrade.
  11. If you don’t see the 1st night discount it is because they often sell out.
  12. Go into the Cruise Planner on the website and in the upper right corner you will see your initials. Click that and the drop down menu has Order History. That will bring up all your purchases, select the upgrade and there is an option to cancel. FYI online purchases or canceling of purchases shuts how about 3 days before sailing.
  13. Thanks for the info. Today we decided to upgrade and when the TA was repricing for the upgrade the Zenith price came up. Pleasant surprise as it saved us $1600.
  14. Luck you. My TA contacted the Zenith desk and was told no repricing for booking paid in full.
  15. All good stuff but a minor correction. The cruise only fare for Zenith booking suites is not being allowed on cruises that are paid in full. So those of us with paid cruises for April, May and most of June do not get our price adjusted.
  16. We usually get off and pick up 2 bottles on turnaround day. Gives us something to do and we have lunch and get wine.
  17. The grandkids only remember the birthdays you are there for; and the kindergarten graduation, soccer games, football games, communions, high school graduations. Oh and the first cruise you took them onπŸ˜‚
  18. Sounds like the fee goes to the ship and the delivery person gets the gratuity.
  19. I have lamb chops most times and they have been excellent.
  20. We have been at Fine Cutbon all 4 E class and had great meals at all.
  21. Just checked out our 3 other booking and the cruise only price $43/44 pp per day less on each of them.
  22. I only looked at pricing on 1 sailing and the difference between the normal suite price on the cruise only price was $47 per person per day. Other sailing may be different.
  23. The MC suites we have had stayed in the suite and connecting cabin share a hallway. There is an entry door to the main hall that can remain closed when both cabins are traveling together. Then the doors that go directly into each cabin can remain open if desired.
  24. I did and this does not apply to cruises already paid in full, so out of luck for our April B2B.
