We haven't seen this AO dining option post covid. They used to take the kids to the WJ every evening. This was a nice option perhaps it will return.

If you dock at Crown Bay take the $4.00pp open air taxi into town. When ready to return flag down another one...you can't miss them they drive around shouting "Back to the ship". This is such an easy DIY port.

Lot's of shops at Havensight and along the water front is a favorite restaurant of ours The Smoking Rooster...try the banana pudding !!!

We will continue to miss the covid closed restaurant Punto de Vista on top of the Milano Hotel...it was such a favorite of ours for great food and happy hour drinks.

Are you not cruising until March 2023? If so you have plenty of time to figure this out before you get to your hotel in San Pedro...Crown Plaza...right. Have you considered purchasing the Binex Abbott covid test online and taking them with you and do the test at your hotel the night before you sail. The email results will be sent to you within 15 min. This couldn't be easier...we along with many others have done it this way when it's been necessary.

Only one time I've had a problem seeing my cruise credits applied. After a few weeks I called C&A and asked why they hadn't been added and was told because it was a "comped cruise" !! No, sorry it was not...they checked my booking and corrected the mistake. Forty + RCI cruises and have never had a "comped cruise"

You're very lucky. They had lots of bad reviews during covid as far as refunds go. From what I understood (read here on CC) the owner purchased a new Tesla during this time. Hmmm. Would I recommend them them after all the bad press....no...But glad it worked out for you.

I just checked the fine print on 5 of them I have and they say. To use towards the payment of a cruise, reservation(s) must be made at least two business weeks prior to the sail date and the gift certificate must be redeemed before final payment date (at least 10 business days prior to sail date). For OBC must be redeemed 10 business days prior to sail date. I actually don't cut it that close when using them to pay my final which is always what I use them for.

Agree...We've purchased a few items there but nothing C&A related...for those we depend on our adult kids knowledge to win for our group effort onboard. A small return on our college investment in them.

Yes...and it was a perfect spot for our drop off/ pick up and an easy quick walk to where the shuttle bus parked. We had a meet up time and all walked back together. There was a shop in the square that the owner was allowing the RCI DIY cruiser's to use their restroom...and it was pointed out to our group when we arrived. The shuttle bus guide provided so much information during our drive from the port to the square...a history lesson about Florence. Then once we arrived he gave us walking maps. This made it so easy to then venture out on our own for several hours before being back at the meet up time. This was a great excursion option.

CVS or a lot of Urgent Care facilities will give them.. I too don't understand the need for this sailing out of San Pedro. Can't you just do a self test and show results at the terminal ?

As I posted above #8 this peeling of cards as I was told onboard was a bad batch from one of the suppliers post covid. RCI opted to use them to get rid of them. Pretty sure they've all been used up by now. Our SL concierge replaced my DH's a couple of times.

I forgot to add ROME...We did an amazing private tour with Rome In Limo...very highly recommended by many and so glad we booked with them.

We have several...gold, silver and bronze

All ours last year (2022) were Silver D+ suite cards. Only Harmony (D+ suite) were Blue with SKY on it. And some of ours had trouble with the top peeling off...RCI had a bad batch that affected several ships. I believe they have used all those up by now. Supply chain was a big issue post covid.

Barcelona...Look at the Jazz Hotel for a night or two. Walk the Las Ramblas and stop in at the Mercado. Do the HOHO bus..a great option. Nice..Even though we don't like cruise booked excursion we booked one for this port that went to Nice and Monaco...turned out great. Florence..See if your ship has a DIY shuttle bus that will drop off/pick up at Santa Croce square. This was just amazing for the transportation and time on our own. Pisa...Meh.

OP stay on ship time for your April 2023 cruise and you'll be fine booking an excursion. These companies know when the ships dock and you'll be in Puerto Vallarta from 8:00am to 6:00pm a very long day for this particular port stop.

Try booking the cruiseline train transfer option. This will need to be done directly with the cruiseline. It will leave directly from the pier (usually around 7:30-8:00am) and will be a 124 mile narrated trip. More than likely your flight will have to be no earlier than 2:30pm from ANC cruise end day to participate. We've done this with RCI and it was an amazing train trip right into ANC for our flight home. Another option is booking with a private bus service. We've done this also when having earlier flights from ANC. Check Alaska Cruise Transfer (ACT) large bus and very comfortable.

I often get RCI gift certificates and choose to apply mine to my final balance. They must be redeemed 10 days before final payment date. To use as OBC they must be redeemed 10 days prior to sail date.

Bering Sea was also a favorite we've done 3 times. The most recent was this past September. Our grandkids age 5 & 8 just loved it...the crew was just amazing and the kids even got invited to sit up in the wheelhouse in the Captains chair.

We opted to pre-pay...worked out well for our private transportation for our extended family of 6. Cruise Control was just amazing !!!

I'll check the menu on my app once onboard....however we don't eat in the MDR.
