  1. This was pre-pandemic, but we did run into this issue. The supervisor ultimately did give us the elite discount when we challenged it.
  2. I’ll say it again; Celebrity’s marketing execs are sure smart to offer this! Look how they went from struggling to fill the Solstice to 11 pages of us all booking offers and some sailings now being unavailable for the casino offer. Sure we aren’t paying for the cruise, but that just means more available for onboard spending!
  3. I’m so glad you received satisfactory resolution! 😀 Have a great cruise!
  4. I’m happy for the crew. At first reading the news, it made me a bit nervous for passengers, but then I remembered that most restaurants have unmasked workers, so it’s not really any different.
  5. I recommend you rent a car from a location in Waikiki and drive around the island yourself the second day. We did that on our Hawaii cruise. Alternatively, there are tons of tour companies that will take you. You’d just need to get to their meeting spot in Waikiki.
  6. The special Christmas meal is at dinner. They, at least Pre-Pandemic, had turkey and ham as well as the usual nice dinner items. For dessert, they offered Christmas desserts from various parts of Europe, which was fun, and then each table would get a plate of Christmas cookies.
  7. Breakfast- Eggs Benedict offered every day instead of only once or twice per cruise Dinner- Chateubriand on every cruise instead of only certain ones, Carbonara consistently offered at dinner at least once a cruise, and steak back on the always available side of the menu. My DH really wishes they offered more regional foods, so you really feel immersed in the culture of the destination as you sail.
  8. You get 2 coffee cards, each entitling you to 15 specialty coffee drinks and unlimited drip coffee. They’re loaded onto your Medallion, so you need to ask to find out how many you have left if you don’t keep track yourself.
  9. Find a place on deck under the stars with no one around, soak in the romantic mood, and do it then. If you want a more public proposal, though, I thought the poster’s idea of in a photo backdrop, so the photographer could capture the moment, and she wouldn’t expect it was creative and cool.
  10. Wowwwwwwww; they really bungled that up! It sucks you now have to spend your time getting it fixed. I hope it all turns out great in the end!
  11. It would be very good for the pax and very wise for the company to limit capacity if they’re short staffed as it’ll better ensure a satisfied cruise experience, resulting in positive reviews and increased future and repeat bookings.
  12. Thank you for the tip to check in My Princess. I don’t have any unfortunately, but at least I know where to check now.
  13. I’m a year late to this party; you made me laugh as always, and I’m so glad you were able to cruise despite limited mobility. I was gonna recommend renting a mobility scooter next time, but from your more recent posts, it looks like you may be doing just that. 😀 It really makes a world of difference when vacationing with limited mobility. Happy cruising to you!
  14. I know your cruise has now departed, but in case you haven’t gone to Helsinki yet, we enjoyed going to Suomenlina, an island with rich history, and exploring. Then we walked around the city and used the cruise line shuttle to visit a few stops.
  15. It’s a good deal if someone can take advantage of it!
  16. I too recommend Mambo Beach in Curaçao and Palm Beach in Aruba. Both have lots of good facilities for food and drinks. Mambo Beach has a completely protected swim area and fun music going. Palm Beach has water sport rentals and activities.
  17. I don’t know how the hotel Internet is, but you could check with your cellular phone company to see if you have access to making your plan into a hotspot for your computer. If so, you could use your hotspot to do the test. AT&T and Verizon are both strong here.
  18. The Princess foods I’m most looking forward to on our upcoming cruise are… Crown Grill’s New York Steak, Chilean Sea Bass, and lobster Sabatini’s burrata and calamari Horizon Court’s Taqueria, shrimp, cooked to order eggs, lemon danishes, waffles, and Grandma’s Chocolate Cake Dining Room’s Fettucini Alfredo and eggplant parmesan IC- Vanilla Latte Bars- 24K Margarita and Virgin Strawberry Daquiris Swirls ice cream
  19. I was nervous when I saw that there was a change, but I have to say that it sounds like he has excellent experience and could maintain or even enhance the quality for Princess. I just hope he doesn’t change the beloved recipes we have all come to know and love over the years.
  20. I see some good and some potential downside. The good is that it’ll be fun to bid and possibly get to experience a room category we’ve never had, while saving money. My worry though is that the upgrade fairy won’t be working as much.
