  1. Oh, I'd never do that either. But a nice lunch with a glass of wine and then board around 3.
  2. Then I would suggest that passengers either work for change or stop complaining.
  3. This is excellent and I bet you're 100% correct. Maybe start a thread about this specifically? Thanks.
  4. If people start to play cards, knit, whatever, I can see a staff member coming up and in a very polite but firm tone saying "I'm sorry folks but we ask that passengers leave the food tables once they're finished eating." And then just stand there.
  5. Good points. Thanks. (I'm a food nut so always going down some side street to find one more octopus or something 🙂 )
  6. Pretty OT here but I've wondered why people are so 'hot to trot' to get on board. I know there are different kinds of ports but I generally seek out some restaurant whose menu sounds good and have lunch there before boarding, You'll have tons of the same food - albeit good - for the next 7/14/forever days.
  7. Pretty much every article of clothing I own is a solid color so they coordinate easily.
  8. Oh, of course. We'll never cruise enough, on any line, for that to happen 🙂
  9. You mean like on the floor in front of the check in counter?
  10. Of all the words that come to my mind here, "direct" sure isn't one of them. BTW I've traveled to six continents and have never had to resort to such.
  11. Can I assume that you remove the hat when you're seated at the table?
  12. My thoughts. Some of my doctor appointments are 'video.
  13. Right. And you can't 'drive' a ship to the Grand Canyon 🙂
  14. Oh, she hasn't had MINE 🙂 But really I'd rather have mac n cheese than cake 🙂
  15. Oh, I have my weaknesses. For sure. But I'm more into savory than sweet. I.e., I've have seared foie gras at least twice on our two O cruises. Mmmmm.
  16. Sounds like me! And a "taste" of cake would be for politeness only.
  17. No, no. Speaking about those in general who throw that out. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
  18. And you can buy a non-alcoholic drink and/or give a big tip up front.
  19. THIS! I'd love to know a single "culture" that has this type of behavior as acceptable.
  20. When people try the justification I just want to slap them. At least tell the truth.
